Chapter 12 -Behind the Glass-

Author's P.O.V.

As the fight continues exhaustion hovers over their bodies, and finally fermented to their silhouettes, the opponents notice the sudden glumness of their movement and they knew they have the upper hand in the current situation.

Oliver's attacks were much weaker than before and Yu's wings are severely damage from dodging attacks and using her extra limbs as an extension to attack more opponents.

Indeed its undeniable that the other party have the upperhand as time goes on, and any time soon they'll be subdued by them.

Both kids is muddled from exhaustion and worry, they both want to survive and save everyone but the tide ia against them, and as they walk forward its like they'll be swallowed whole burying them off obscurity, theres no denying that.

Seeing this situation the oldman behind the observation glass grinned behind his bushy white beard, he's fingers twitches from the inexplicable money the demi human would bring, sweating even from the sudden rush of excitement the his feeling, if he could he would moan with excitement.

"If there's a demi human here... the value of the other kids may not surpass that thing's selling price but I'm sure those slaves is something else too... maybe they are merfolks within them, owh a dragon too..." He stroke his beard not hiding his glee.

"BRING THE OTHER KIDS HERE!" He shouted to the Priest and the nuns that were their with him all along.

The kind smiles that were plastered on their faces when they welcome the kinds was still their but the greed on their eyes were much more obvious, they even have blood staining their fingers, seemingly from abducting the other kids.

The orphanage that was supposed to be the kids' salvation finally unveiled itself, this time its more appropriate to call it a butcher's house or shop, but instead of animals meat they shared and sell the valuable human organs, the rare horns of the beastkin, eat their flesh and such, the things that is inhumane yet is being conducted because of greed with nothing to restrain them not even humanity, indeed these is the humans that likes to parade the justice they have established for their own benefits.

The old man covered with fur, chuckled, laughed and finally howled like a wolf having their fill making his stomach that were bulging like of the buddha's rumble, the jewelry on his neck and hands jiggle as well, his eyes glinting with such pleasure.

If Greed and Gluttony have a child it'll surely resemble this old man, that sparkle with such traits.
