More than friends? (district 3)

Wil it be awkward?

I avoided dan for the rest of the weekend, now i have to face him i have science first.

"hey han" dan said trying to make things seem normal

"hi dan" i forced a smile on my face, probably abit obvious i was forcing the smile seeing as dan looked down looking guilty

"dont worry... about friday" i told him

"i just... i dont know..." he stuttered

We didnt talk for the rest of the lesson, then we avoided eachother again! Ugh why cant i tell him how i feel?!

"hey greg" i smiled getting into the car

"hey han, whats going on with you and dan? You've hardly talked to eachother" greg sighed

"i- i dunno" i frowned at what i just said

"ok..." i think he knows whats happened...

I decided to text jess

Me- hey jess! X

Jess- hey babe, how are you? X

Me- im good! Wanna come over in an hour? X

Jess- course! See ya then

Me- good... i need to talk to you about something when you getbhere though :-/

Jess- be round in half an hour!!!! X

"jess is coming over" i informed greg

"cool... so's micky... and dan" ok he knows whats happened!

"dans told you hasnt he?" i sighed

"some of it... he told me you heard us talking and that you two have been realy awkward since?" greg told me

"well, i guess thats kinda whats happend"

"kinda?" he said as we pulled up outside the house

"ill tell you later" i told him getting out of the car

I went straight into my bedroom thinking about me and dan until greg interupted me

"jess is here" greg told me letting her in my room

"hey jess" i smiled

"greg go away me and hannah need to talk" jess instructed him

"when did you become hannah?" greg asked sarcastically before leaving

"now, whats wrong?!" jess demanded to know

"well, you know how i kinda like dan? I heard him and greg talking and well dan likes me too" i told her

"well thats good isnt it?" she asked rather confused

"he came in to speak to me later on and found out that i know he likes me, but i dont know if he knows i like him, and then well the next morning when he spoke to me about it he said he wanted to forget about it... for now" i explained

"han you need to tell him!" jess told me

"hmm"

"Greg! Dan and micky are here, Hannah come here i need to talk with you!" mum called

"tell the boys to come up" greg told me

"ok, jess i wont be long" i smiled and walked downstairs

"hey han" micky beamed giving my a quick friendly hug

"hey greg said to go up stairs" i told them

"ok" micky smiled

Dan avoided eye contact with me

"dan wait!" the words blurted out of my mouth when they were half way up stairs

"you go micky" dan told him as he came back down stairs

"yeah?" he said awkwardly

"look i dont want things to be awkward between us... can we just go back to normal?" i asked

He thought for a moment then smiled a genuin smile!

"id love that" he replied giving me a quick hug before running upstairs

"hannah!" mum called again

"Yes mum?" i said sitting at the table

"can you organise the summer barbeque this year?" she asked "we'll set the stuff out just invite everyone and stuff?"

"i guess" i sighed "jess is waiting for me" i quickly made and exit and ran upstairs before flopping onto my bed with a huge grin on my face

"whats gotten into you?" jess joked

"things are back to normal with me and dan!" i exclaimed

"but i thought you wanted more than that?" jess asked confused

"yeah but at least now hes talking to me!"

I heard a faint laugh outside my bedroom door, i crept up to the door and opened it to see dan standing outside

I raised an eyebrow

"oh im not spying!" he blurted out "im waiting for the bathroom"

I pushed the door open to show him no-one was in there

"oh-uh" he quickly went into the bathroom

"idiot!" i said

"i heard that!"

"you were supposed to!" i replied

"ok now he knows how i feel oh god!" i muttered under my breath

"it will be ok" jess reassured me

"anyway! Mum wants me to invite people to the barbeque, wanna come?" i asked

"yeah!" she replied

"ok im gunna ask the boys" i told her

"hey micky, oh dan your out of the 'bathroom'" i grinned walking into gregs room

He went bright red

"what do you want?" greg asked

"micky dan wanna come to the barbeque on saterday?"

"yeah" micky replied

"love to" dan told me

"ok... what song are you preforming in music tomorrow?" i asked

"umm one we've written we're gunna preform that" micky told me

"oh cool, see ya" i smiled and left

"ok han ive gotta go see you at school tomorrow" jess smiled

"oh ok bye" i waved her off and went back to my room by this time it was 9pm so i decided to have an early night
