Hearing her reply Hayden picked her up and spun her around, he quickly set her down right after since they were out in public but he smiled at her as he set her back on the ground.
"....I'll visit often." Hayden said to her and she looked at him a little confused
"I'm not going with you?" Yukino asked him and he chuckled
"If you want to come with me you are more than welcome to but I just thought that you would want to pursue your school and careers before we settled down." Hayden said to her and Yukino smiled at him
"Sad but true, I still want to pursue many things before I get married. Are you saying that you will wait for me?" Yukino asked him and he chuckled as he tucked her hair behind her ear with a smile on his lip.
"I'll wait for you wholeheartedly and also patiently as well." Hayden said to her and she chuckled, then a voice clearing their voice was heard and when Hayden turned around it was an older man standing behind them with Yukino's sister and her husband.
"Father." Yukino called out to the older man and Hayden went pale for a moment, he had never fell in love and he had never met the father of his girlfriend but he also heard that the father of the girlfriend can also be very protective of their daughters.
"Hello." Hayden said and bow in greeting to her father
"Hayden, is it?" Hayden hear her father ask him and he got up and had a clear look at the older man.
"Yes, I am hayden." Hayden said to the older man who smile, the older man looked him up and down and he smiled
"You look just like her, doesn't he honey?" He asked his wife, she walked over to her husband's side and the two looked at Hayden and nodded
"He looks just like Lou'er, doesn't he?" Yukino's mother asked and the two looked at him with smiles and happiness in their eyes
"......I heard that the two of you were friends of my mother, but do I really look like my mother?" Hayden asked and her father chuckled
"To be more precise, my wife is your mother's friend but your mother is my cousin. Your mother is the daughter of my grandmother's daughter, that would make me your uncle." Her father said to him and Hayden nodded.
"It is a pleasure to have met the two of you, mother passed early and I only have the little memories I have with her but I've always heard of you two from mother before she passed." Hayden said with a smile and looked as if he was returning back to the days he spent with his mother.
"The last time we saw you, you were only about 6 months old. Right, Takashi?" Yukino's mother asked her father and he nodded.
"I've promised your mother that when if you were a boy, I would give you one of my daughters and I see that you came to take back this promise." Her father said to him and Hayden nodded
"I'll come to retrieve this promise when she is ready. It would be my honor if you will allow it." Hayden said to her father and turned to her with a smile as he wipe her tears again.
"Don't make me wait too long." Hayden said to Yukino and she nodded her head repeatedly at him and he smiled at her
"Ar-Are you going to head back right away? Won't you stay for the lunch and the photo shoots?" Yukino asked him with pleading eyes and he chuckled
"Ok. I'll stay for one more day, how does that sound?" Hayden asked her and she nodded
"Father, I will bring Hayden to the table." Yukino said to her father and he nodded
"Why don't we all go in together, your mother and I should also return to our table as well. Yuri and Shiro should also return to your table as well, you two are the star of today." their father said to them and they all headed inside to the room and went to their own table.
Like Hayden promised he stayed for lunch and went to the photoshoot with their family and even got some photos taken with Yukino and her family as well. The following day Hayden stayed with her family for a day like he promised and went home.
On the day Hayden returns
"I'll visit when I have the chance." Yukino said to him and Hayden chuckled
"If you want to come, just tell me. I'll book as many flights as you want for you." Hayden said to her and she nodded
"Call or text me every day." Yukino said to him and he chuckled
"Yes, ma'am." Hayden said to her and she chuckled, Hayden pulled her in for a hug and the two departed.
