Part seven

Lando's POV

I watched as she walked away to her hotel. I put my head in my hands and screamed. What the hell did I just do? I ruined everything! I started the car and drove away towards the track. I was running late as always and had a few missed calls from Charlotte. I clicked on the call buton to call her back. I put it on handsfree while the phone went over a few times.

"Hello."

"Hey Charlotte, its Lando. I am on my way." I told her while still driving.

"You better be. We are all waiting for you to start the briefing." She sounded annoyed.

"Sorry. I'm there in like 5 minutes."

She hung up the phone and I drove towards the track. I parked my car in front of the McLaren hospitality and jogged inside to the briefing room. When I joined they started the meeting.

After briefing I checked my phone for a message from Heather. She told me she would be here around 3:30 pm. I told Charlotte and asked her if she could take the girls towards me. She agreed and told me I needed to get changed. After that I walked towards my driversroom to change into my racingsuit. I couldn't help but think about the almost kiss Heather and I had in the car. I thought she looked so beautiful. But so did that stupid waiter. Why did he have to ask that question? Ofcourse I wanted it to be a date. But she looked so shocked. And that stupid waiter needed to give her his number. I wasn't jealous, was I?

A knock on the door brought me back to reality.

"Come on in." I called out while putting on my driversshoes.

"Hey, you ready?" It was Jon, my personal trainer.

"Yeah, lets go!" I told him and we left the room to prepare for qualifying.

Heathers POV

I walked towards the elevator and pressed the right floornumber. I was still in shock. I almost kissed Lando Norris. How the hell did that happen? I walked towards our hotel room and opened the door.

"I'm back!" I yelled before plopping on the bed.

Mia came running from the balcony almost tripping over her own feet.

"How was it? Did he kiss you? Are you dating now? When will you get married? Will you name your children after me?" Mia rambled on.

"No, no not really." Mia looked at me confused.

"What do you mean not really?"

"We were at the restaurant. It was really fun. Then some waiter asked if we were on a date. And he said no. So the waiter gave me his number and.. I don't know. It was a bit awkward after. And then I wanted to get out of the car and he stopped me. And we almost kissed! But then some guy tapped on the window and ruined the moment. After that it was awkward again." Mia was silent for a minute absorbing what I just told her.

"So what are you going to do with the waiters number?" Mia asked me.

I hadn't thought about that.

"Nothing, obviously. I kind of really like Lando. I don't want to ruin things, if I havn't done that already." I took the number from my pocket and threw it in the bin.

"Okay. Next question, what is the next step? He obviously likes you! I mean you almost kissed."

I thought about that for a moment.

"I don't know what I'm gonna do. I am so awkward." I played with a piece of my hair between my fingers feeling very anxious.

"Why don't you just tell him that you're not gonna do anything with the waiters number." Mia sugested.
