The Right Moment | Lando Norris X Reader

Prologue

I woke up from the annoying sound of my phone ringtone. I glanced at the time. It told me it was just 7 am. I groaned and picked up my phone. My sisters caller ID popped up, the light making my eyes hurt.

"What" I answered the phone with a groan.

"Morning my dear sister" she chirped.

"Do you know what time it is? What do you want?" I asked, while rubbing the sleep out of my eyes.

"Time to get your ugly ass out of bed."

"Why the hell would I?" I asked, already closing my eyes again. "And there is nothing wrong with my ass" I stated offended.

"Don't you remember what day it is?" My sister asked. "You agreed to this weeks ago."

I tried to think. It had been a stressful few weeks with all the exams and papers I had to finish before the end of the year. I was studying to become a nurse and I just finished my last year. Soon I would hear from my mentor if I passed or not. It was also very early meaning my brain did not function yet.

"I have no idea what you're talking about Em." I answered and I yawned.

I heard a sigh. "Never mind. Just get ready. I'll be there in 20."

Before I could answer she hung up the phone. I groaned, rubbing my eyes once more before getting up. I headed to the bathroom and took a quick shower. The water relaxed my muscles a little bit. Is stepped out of the shower and I took my hair out of its  braid. I untangled my hair with my fingers and decided to leave it like this. My hair just reached my midwaist and was a dark brown color. It's naturally straight but had small waves right now after sleeping with a braid. My eyes were also darkbrown wich I inherited from my Portugese dad. I put some straight legged jeans with a white croptop. I topped it with a black blazer and some black converse. I put on some light makeup and felt ready for the day.

Minutes later I heard the doorbell ring. I opened the door and my sister bardged in immediately. Leaving me standing at the door confused.

"Well, hello to you too sis" I said calmly while closing the door.

Emily turned around facing me. "You really forgot what you agreed on, didn't you?" She asked me.

I looked at her confused. I had tried to remember but I just couldn't figure it out by myself. I blame school and a lack of sleep.

"You agreed to come with me to go to London for my first shoot." She crossed her arms over her chest looking rather angry. "You know how importent this is for me. Its my first gig and I'm shitting myself."

Emily was discovered by a fashion brand not too long ago. They wanted to meet up for a practise shoot to see if she fits the brand. She asked me to come with her for support. And also because she doesn't have a drivers license.

"Oh damn I forgot, I'm so sorry Em! Please forgive me. Let me grab my keys real quick and we can go. We'll grab some breakfast on the way, my treat." I told her.

Emily waited a few seconds but finally gave in. "Fine, I forgive you. But only because you are buying breakfast."

"And because you need to take the train otherwise." She gave me the finger and walked trough the door and outside my apartment.

I grabbed my keys and bag and followed her towards my car.

I opened the door to my very fancy car. Not. It was an old Citroën C1 which barely functioned anymore. But it did its job so I won't complain.

We drove for an hour to the centre of London where the shoot was. We both lived in Luton, not far from London. On our way we stopped at Starbucks for breakfast. I ordered my all time favourite, iced coffee with soymilk and a breakfast bagel to go. Emily took a tea and a sandwich.

Once we reached the city centre I tried looking for a parkingspot, which took me ages because we were in freaking London. After finding one we were luckily still 15 minutes early so we didn't have to rush. We went inside of the office and were welcomed by an older women behind a desk.

"Goodmorning, you must be Emily Moore. Very nice to meet you, I am Debby. Edward is expecting you for your testshoot. Unfortunately you are only allowed alone today due to the pandemic. Your company is welcome to stay here in the loby."

Emily looked at me anxious. "Its okay Em. You got this. I will just go into town and do some shopping." I reassured her.

She nodded and gave me a quick hug. "Call me when you are done" I told her and squeezed her shoulder. She smiled and walked away with a wave.

When I walked outside the sun had come out. I put on my sunglassed and started walking towards the shops.

I was looking at the shopwindows and wasn't paying attention towards my feet. I tripped over a loose tile and fell over. I shut my eyes close, waiting for my body to hit the floor very hard. But the floor never came. Instead I felt some strong arms holding me in place. I looked up and stared into some of the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen. They were a beautiful blue color with little flecks. It felt like time stopped and I was staring into the mans eyes untill his voice brought me back to reality.

"Watch where you are going, wouldn't want to ruin something so beautifull".

Soooo that was the first chapter, aaaahhh!! Hope you enjoyed it. I will try to make the next chapters longer. Also this is my first book so I am just figuring everything out. Thankyou anyways for giving this book a try <3
