{Y/n's backstory} Y/n didn't remember anything think from her childhood. All she new that she got a random scar on her wrist from something but now she does not know what, her parent would never say what happened to her as a child and did not have any baby photos of her. Yes at some point she thought it was strange but she didn't think much of it, the only thing her mother would say to her is that she was special and gifted, but all mother say that.. don't they?
Y/n's mother had passed away around a month ago and her father was very affected by it. He had started drinking more and the relationship between them grew distant, they decided to move to Hawkins as a fresh start and got a place in a shitty little trailer but it will do. After her mother death, Y/n also began drinking and starting smoking which was unhealthy of course but she didn't care, she didn't want to leave California but done it for her dad even though it was her senior and she'd be graduating soon.
(eddie had said in the series that he had stayed back a few years due to the fact he did not have the grades so he is told to be around 19-20years old and Y/n is 18years old)
