I wake up and look directly at the clock. It's about 9:00 in the morning on Saturday. I have this day to relax before Sunday and also I'm going out shopping with Amanda so we will see what I can get done today. I get out of bed and go to the bathroom because I really have to go to the bathroom. I walk into the bathroom and realize the night before I forgot to take off my makeup, so now I have mascara smeared all around my eyes, I kind of look like a raccoon. Interesting look. As I'm washing my hands I walk out of the bathroom and here a knock at the front door of my apartment. I walk over to the door and open it. As I look down I see lilies on the step of my apartment and I pick them up. I already know who they are from but It confirmed it when I picked up the card and it read, Excited For Tomorrow. Obviously it's from Will who else would get me flowers like this. The more I think about it the more I think he is a crazy stalker person. I'm intrigued and scared at the same time.
I walk back into my apartment and take the flowers and find a vase to put them in. I stared at the flowers for a bit, my day was pretty good already and this just made it like ten times better. Will is so considerate and caring I actually like him a lot. I have a lot of free time today so when I'm done putting the flowers in the vase of water I go plop down on the couch and turn on the series I'm trying to finish. As I'm watching tv my phone vibrates on my leg, I turn it over and look at the notification. It's a text from Amanda checking in to make sure I'm still going with her shopping today. She is a person who regularly double checks things so I'm not surprised about this. I unlock my phone and text back a simple yes with a thumbs up emoji.
Quite a bit of time passes while I'm watching tv, I look back at the clock and it's about 11:30. She texted me she would come to pick me up at about 12:30 so I decided it is a good time to start getting up and getting dressed. Before that I have to eat food so I pick out some cereal, I sit at the counter and start eating for about ten minutes, after that I put my bowl in the sink for I walk to my closet and pick out something very plain because I like to be comfy while shopping. I picked out a sweatshirt and sweatpants. I walk over to the bathroom and take a very quick shower and dry my hair quickly, I don't put on much makeup because I felt It would be unnecessary to look presentable when all I'm doing is picking out clothes. As I'm getting finished I hear another knock at the door and I walk over to the door to open it and I'm met with Amanda. I check the time on my watch and sure enough it's 12:30.
"Hey I will be ready in a quick second, I just have to grab my purse and I'm ready."
"Ok I will be in the car when you are ready."
"Ok I will meet you out there."
I run to get my purse and then head out the door. As I get in Amanda's car we decide where we are going to go to first. Clothes or the book store, I mean we are both addicted to reading. Although I love reading, I can't write a book to save my life, I am and would be a horrible writer.
"I think we should go clothes shopping first, although I like both, I like to save the best for last, that is my all time rule." I say with a lot of confidence.
"That works with me because I honestly don't really care, I just like looking at new things."
"I always like have new stuff around the house it makes me excited to buy things, I think I might like shopping a little too much."
"I don't think you can shop too much, unless you want to go broke." She replied.
I look out the window, it's kind of a rainy day, I guess it was lucky that we chose to go shopping this day because we will be inside. Rain makes me want to curl up in my bed with a book and read forever. As we are arriving I look at all the stores I could go to. There are so many options. We choose one and start looking around.____________________________________________________________________________________
After a while we are done shopping and Amanda and I go to pick out something to eat as a snack. Amanda and I walk over to the grocery store across the street, I pick out a bag of chips with a water, honestly something to just fill me up for a bit before we head to dinner because I ate a light breakfast. We head back to the car and eat the snacks.
"Hey should I buy something hot for my date with Will tomorrow?"
"Oh my gosh, yes, we have to have him drooling over you tomorrow."
"Ok sounds good this has to be a great plan I mean I have nice dresses at home, but buying a new dress wouldn't do any harm would it? But I don't also want to overdress, like what if he comes in something that is not as nice."
"Oh don't worry about overdressing, you guys are going to a fancy restaurant and do you see the way he dresses at work, if he is trying to impress someone on a date he would dress up more than he does to his everyday job."
"Well you're probably right about that one, I need to stop worrying so much, I feel like I have been doing that lately."
"Don't worry you are going to be fine, tomorrow is going to be fun and you are going to be so happy. This will be good for you Amelia"
We went to a dress store and picked out a few interesting dresses for me, most of them fit really well, I just couldn't decide which one to choose, I mean they all looked great and I liked them all. I'm letting Amanda pick them because apparently I'm being indecisive as hell today and all I'm doing is picking out a stupid dress to wear for my date tomorrow with Will.
After a while we decided on a dress and let me tell you it looks great, I'm going to rock tomorrow, I'm going to have Will drooling on the floor when he comes to pick me up.
"Which bookstore are we going to the one on 1st avenue or the one on Blake street?"
"Um the one on first avenue that one has a lot more options and all of the good spicy books." Amanda replies with a grin on her face.
"Well ok, if you put it like that I guess we will go to that one, usually I go to the other one because it is closer."
"Yeah well I have compared the two places and their is a superior bookstore that has way better options."
"You had me at 'Good spicy books'." I said with a grin on my face.
As we are driving around I get a good scenery of the town, I pretty much stay home all the time after work so when I get around the town It's always fascinating. I look around at all the tall buildings and all the art around. They have had people come in to spray paint buildings making really amazing murals. Honestly this place is really beautiful once I get a good look at it. We finally make it to the book store and immediately split up looking at a bunch of different sections of books. I could spend hours in a bookstore and never get bored, there is just so much to look at. I also need to get more bookshelves, because I just keep buying things, leaving me with no space on my bookshelves to put books. There is now just a pile on the ground of books and it's becoming a hassle just to look at it. Maybe after this I can convince Amanda to quickly take me somewhere to quickly buy another shelf since we are already out here.
As I'm walking to check out I realize I am going to be buying like a whole stack of books, perfect just what I needed more books, this is why I need a shelf, maybe I should make it two because buying books is an never ending process.
When I get home I see I have a missed call from my mom about a minute ago, I open my phone and call her back. "Hey sweetie I'm just checking in to see how you are doing." My mom does this at least every other day and this is the first time I have really had anything to talk about because usually I just have a basic normal life, I feel excited to talk for once. Usually I just let her go on a rant about the new cooking show she has found. "I'm doing good mom, I just got home from shopping with Amanda, I got some new bookshelves." "That sounds good, any new boys you have found." "Mom! Stop!" "Oh so there is, what is his name?" "Uh..... Um..... Will, he works with me." "Ooooh, have you gone out with him yet?" "No, I am going to be tomorrow, he is actually really sweet." "Well good for you, you better call me right after it to tell me how it went, I want to know." "Ok I will call you right after it, don't worry, call you tomorrow mom goodnight." "Goodnight sweetie."
