Chapter 1 - How It Began

You know how it felt like to have the name 'nerd number 3' ? Well not everyone does. Everyone was busy getting their popular ass aound. My name is Louis Fluke, and I'm your regular ,nerdy, 16 year old. At Collindale High School, it was all about fame and how rich you were.
Guess I turned out to be odd. But I wasn't the only one. My two best friends, Sandra Tomlison and Pearl James made me feel at home and soo relaxed, because they did not care if we were nerds or popular or wharever,the only thing that passed us in heart was to stick together no matter what.

"Louis please can you pass me your chemistry book?" Sandra asked and I gave her what she wanted.
Pearl had not yet arrived at school so Sandra and I took the lead to the library before we started class.

It was the first month since school re-opened and alot has happened. Pearl got embarased at the cafeteria last week because one girl intentionaly hit her and she fell face flat with her pasta and meatball running down her favourite Spongebob sweatpants. Sandra also got bullied by some group of jocks and cheerleaders. It was a really bad experience. For me, nothing really happened. People in this school never appreciated us,and why, because we were the dorky ones who always faced a book and did our homework.

It's actually not everyone thats mean. Sometimes I go and sit on the bleachers and Liya Richardson, the star cheerleader, would come uo and start a convo. She was the perfect person anyone would ever ask for. Kind ,smart ,loving ,hot ,pretty! It's an endless list! I thought I might impress her and all but if I do, I know for sure that she would deny me for those other handsome and more mascular boys so I'll never attempt.

"Soo...how's everything with Liya, do you guys talk? " Sandra began a conversation by asking . Even though she was my bestfriend, I couldn't tell her I had feelings for a girl who is way popular than me.

"Hey! We're friends ; nothing more, nothing less! " I denied my feelings.

"I didn't mention anything! " Sandra giggled and looked backinto her book.

"Hi Besties, sorry I'm late but I got stuck in some traffic." Pearl added as she took a seat by me and brought out a math book.

"Why are you learning for month?" I questioned.

"Louis, you do know that are schedules are different, don't you? "

"Well, not at all! "

The first bell went and we packed our things to go for class. Sandra and I walked Pearl to her math class and then made our way to the chemistry lab.

"Hey look! The two nerds" Jason Mendez, the football captain, said to the open crowd in the hallway.

"Jason please shut it and leave us alone, we have class" I mentioned that Sandra was also a nerd and got bullied at times ,but she wasn't afraid to talk. If there was something she had to say she would say it and not care about anything.

"Well lookie lookie at this cookie, it's my very own favourite nerd girl, Sandra , how have you been hunnay ? Has Daddy been bringing the teacher to tutor you whilst doing your homework? "

"Jason please leave us alone! " I defended myself and bestfriend.

"Stay out of this, FLUKE! I'm talking to Sandra!" He yelled, causing me to drop some books. I wish I could do something about it. Sadly I couldn't.

"Jason it's okay, enough let's go. We have math. " Liya appeared out of nowhere and stopped the fight.

"This hasn't ended. NERDS!!" Jason walked away with some other students and I lipped a thank you to Liya. She returned it with a warm smile and we all walked in different paths!
