Yerim brushed her palm against her forehead as she walked through the front door.

It was late, almost two in the morning, and she was just now getting home.

But not from practice or from the studio, but from the bar.

She stormed out a couple of hours ago and decided to go and have a couple of drinks after you got into an argument.

She had the feeling that you wouldn't be there on the sofa waiting for her. You needed some room to think and some air to breathe as well after that fight.

She wasn't drunk, not even close to it.

She was tired but going to sleep without talking about everything that happened was going to be extremely difficult and she knew you'd feel the same way about it.

She thought you'd be upstairs, tucked under the covers either sitting in bed wide awake and waiting for her or pretending to be asleep.

She dragged her feet up the stairs after taking off her shoes and she headed down the hall to your shared bedroom.

With a deep breath, she walked into the bedroom... but she found it was empty.

"Y/N?" She called out as she entered the bathroom.

She knew you weren't in there since the light was off and the door was wide open, but she had to check, just to be sure.

She walked out of the bedroom with your name on her lips and just as she was about to call out for you once more, she realized something.

The door to the guest room was closed.

It's never closed unless guests are over, which isn't happening tonight, of course.

So she slowly walked across the hall, feet quietly padding across the floor until she stood against the door.

She turned the knob but it was locked and she exhaled shakily upon realizing that you had locked yourself in there.

That couldn't be good.

"Y/N?" She quietly spoke as she knocked on the door. "Can we talk? Please?"

There was only silence in the air as she closed her eyes and put her forehead against the door.

"I don't want to fight anymore, y/n. I promise, if you open the door, no more fighting. I just want to talk. I can't go to sleep knowing that we fought and haven't patched things up yet. Please let me in. I'm begging you."

It was quiet again and she felt so anxious and so sad that she teared up.

She was about to speak again when the door suddenly opened.

She saw you standing there, looking just as hurt as she did.

You stared at each other for a few seconds and, all at once, the anger and the frustration you'd both felt hours earlier that led to your fight, if any of it had lingered, it was all fading away now.

"I'm sorry!" You both said in unison as you threw your arms around each other, holding onto one another as tightly as you could.

She chuckled against your head as she started to rub your back.

The tears in her eyes were no longer ones of sadness.

They were happy ones because she knew the fight was over.

You both felt sorry for the things you said and you both just wanted to put it all behind you.

But still, there were a few things she needed to get off her chest.

"I'm sorry about everything. I shouldn't have stormed out, either."

You lifted your head and closed your tired eyes, a small smile on your face.

"I can smell the alcohol on your breath."

"I had a couple of drinks and talked to the girls and realized just how badly I messed up by storming out."

"It's okay." You said. "You needed some air and some space, I understand. You stormed out and I stormed up here, just in case you turned right back around."

She laughed as she brushed a lock of hair behind your ear.

"I'm sorry for fighting. I hate it when we fight."

"Me too. But every couple has their fights. We still make things right. At least we know when we're wrong and always fix things up, rather than never even showing the want to do that."

"I never want to be one of those couples." You sighed as you put your head on her shoulder.

"We never will be." She said as she kissed your head. "Let's put this fight behind us and go cuddle until we fall asleep."

You lifted your head to gaze at her with a bright smile.

You clearly loved the idea of that as much as she did.

She took your hand and walked across the hall with you, where you curled up in bed together after getting changed into your pajamas and brushing your teeth together.

She tangled her legs with yours and had you lay your head on your chest, needing to be as close to you as she possibly could.

"I love you so much." She whispered as she played with your hair, while you listened to her heartbeat. "To the moon and back again."

"I love you even more." You said as you began to drift off to sleep, feeling safe and content in her embrace.

"Impossible." She whispered a few seconds later. "You're my everything, sweet girl."

She played with your hair as you fell asleep and shortly after, she did the same.

She could sleep well tonight knowing that everything was okay between you again.

It always would be.
