IM SORRY ITS BEEN SO LONG PLEASE FORGIVE ME
Above is what Matt looks like ;)Marie's POV
I quickly ran up the stairs, and into my closet. I wasn't sure where we were going, so I decided on a light blue dress, and white heels. I loosely curled my hair, and did a minimal amount of make up. I never really looked good with a lot.
Jason texted me good luck on my date. I laughed and just replied thank you.
Before I knew it, it was 7:30. I still had half an hour. I decided to read, so I went to my shelf and pulled out Looking For Alaska by John Green. I've read it multiple times, but it's my favorite book. I opened to the page and began to read.
Then I heard the door bell ring. I ran down stairs and opened it to see Matt dressed with a blue button down shirt and a black tie, and black pants. I have to say, he looked pretty damn good.
"Hey," I said, as he just looked at me.
After what felt like a few minutes but was probably 6 seconds he didn't say anything."I'm sorry do I look bad?" I said, trying to even out the creases on my dress.
"Oh my gosh no you look perfect."He said with a smile. "Should we go?"
"Oh yeah right." I said walking out the door. He grabbed my hand while we walked down, and opened the door to his white Land Rover for me.
"So where are we going?" I asked as he started to pull out of my drive way.
"Some Italian restaurant in the city. I hope that's okay?" He asked.
"Yeah that's perfect." I said.
We soon pulled up to an Italian restaurant that was decorated very nicely. They had twinkling lights and a lot of plants. Before I could get out, Matt opened the door for me again. We held hands walking in.
We got to a desk, where we were greeted by a man in his mid-forties.
"Name?" he asked.
"Anderson for 2." Matt said.
"Right this way." The other man said, grabbing menus.
We sat down and I started to flip through.
"So tell me about yourself." Matt asked, looking up to me.
"Well I moved to California about two weeks ago, as you know. I'm not quite sure how much I like it though, but we would move around a lot when I was younger so I guess I'm use to it." I said.
"Well how are you liking it so far?" he said.
"I think it's going pretty good." I said, making a head nod to suggest that I was having a good time on our date.
Then a waitress came over and took our drink orders, and our meal orders.
Matt and I talked about a couple of things, like our family and what music and sports we like. Then our food came, and we started eating that.
"This is like, really good." I said.
He nodded in agreement. Once we were done, the check came, and I pulled out my wallet.
"That's hilarious." he said pulling out his debit card.
"What is?" I asked, putting a twenty on the table.
"That you really think I'll let you pay on our first date. Or any date really." He said, laughing as he put his card in the check.
"Really are you sure? I bet it was expensive." I said, putting the money back in my purse.
"Yeah I'm positive." he said, getting back his card and putting it in his wallet.
We left the restaurant, and walked around the town a little, just talking about random stuff. Once I said I was tired, we headed back to the car. I looked at the clock on his car, and realized it was 12:00. He drove me home and once we were in the drive way, we sat there in silence for awhile.
"Well tonight was fun." I said giving him a smile.
"Well I'm glad you had fun, we should go out again some time." He said, looking at me. I nodded.
I was about to get out, when I was pulled back. Then I felt Matt's lips crash onto mine. They were soft, and ours moved together. After a few minutes, I was pulled into his lap. I gasped a little, and he laughed into the kiss. It started to get more intense, but we didn't go farther than making out. After what seemed like an hour, I broke the kiss. I looked over to the clock and realized it was 12:30. We both started laughing, me still on top of him.
"Well I guess I should get going." I said opening his door, and getting out.
He just laughed and waved. I walked back up to my steps blushing the whole way.
I went up to my room quietly, considering my parents are asleep. I walked in, seeing Ross sitting on my bed, with a worried look on his face.
"Ross what are you doing here?" I said, still not approaching him.
"Where. Were. You." he asked, not looking at me.
"I think the bigger question is what the fuck are you doing in my house?"
"I've been here for 2 hours. Where did you go?" he demanded.
"I went out, why does it matter."
"With who?"
"Honestly why do you care?"
"Was it Matt?"
"Yeah. Yeah it was. Why are you here. Why do you care?" I said throwing up my hands in annoyance.
"I'm here because I wanted to make sure you weren't getting into trouble. And I care because Matt's an asshole."
"You are too, now get out of my house."
"Do you not care about me Marie?" He yelled.
"Keep it down, my parents are sleeping."
"You don't do you? All I do is make sure you're safe, and you go out and do this shit?"
"Who the hell do you think you are? You feel it's your mission to protect me? Well guess what, it's not. I can live on my own, thank you." I said pointing to my still open window that looks like was his entrance.
"Do you not even remember what happened today? My best friend got kidnapped. And you don't even care." Ross said, putting his head in his hands.
"Ross I tried to comfort you. But really, we aren't friends." I said.
With that, he got up, and went back down the window. I sighed and closed it. I saw his beat up car speed down the street. Then, I closed my blinds and went to change into my pajamas. Then I crawled into my bed, and quickly fell asleep.
