KILLER INSTINCT"Easy peasy," I stretched my knuckles, arriving at the tablet. First things first, I turned my earpiece on, suddenly being met with an annoying Antonio yelling in my ears. "Jezus, dude, calm down," I tell him, rubbing my one ear.
"Are you insane! You could've been dead by now!" he keeps shouting. "And I'm not, alright? Now, stop with the shouting and tell me what to do," I told him, confusingly looking at the tablet. "Isabe-" he keeps getting on my nerves, this man.
"Now, Tonio," I demand.
A loud sight is sounded before he finally starts doing his job. "Tell me, what do you see?" he asks me. I look around the room to see if there's anything else in the room that could mean something but, unfortunately not.
"Lots of laptops and, I think the tablet you were talking about earlier," I inform him. "Oh so, you do listen after all," he states. "Antonio," I demand once again. "Fine, what do you see on the tab," he questions. I could hear his black leather gloves brushing through the mic as he once again, hurts my ears before he all of a sudden mutters stuff.
"Antonio! Watch your earpiece! I'm hearing stuff I rather not hear," I declare. "Shut up and concentrate Isabella!" he replies. "Asshole," is all I scoff. "Well, I see all kinds of numbers, symbols, and letters. All in ugly green by the way," I tell him.
"Ok, hold on," he answers, busy with stuff and all. "I thought you said this was maths?" I question him, studying the tab. "It is," he says. "But since when are letters and symbols included in maths? Isn't it supposed to be just numbers? I mean, that's the definition of maths right?" I raise my brows at the good question I just asked.
"God, Isabella, the way it doesn't take a stranger to see that you didn't finish your school tells a lot about you," he tells me. "What is that supposed to mean?" "Nothing, just- tell me the numbers," he goes on. "All of them?" "Yes," "Where do I start?" I confusingly ask as he replies "Doesn't matter,"
I sigh, choosing a number and starting from there.
"four, seven, nine, ten, fourteen, thirteen, nineteen, sixteen, twenty-four, nineteen-" when he suddenly interrupts me again. "I think I got it, let me do this, and then this, minus this," he brabbles when he at a certain point suddenly stops. "Antonio?" I ask, to check if he's still alive.
"Of course! How stupid of them to choose such an uncomplicated and effortless code!" he laughs like an idiot. "Well, what are you waiting on? What's the code then?" I ask. "Try, zero-two-zero-five," he states. I slowly press the buttons, hoping to see the blue lights turn green.
And, lucky me.
"Antonio, you're a genius!" I squeal, getting inside the door that just opened itself. "I know right? It was actually really simple. You just had to add two to the first number and then five to the second one and-," he keeps rambling as I slowly make my way to the end of the hall.
"-you just had to do that the whole time which makes th-" "Sorry to interrupt your nerdy talk but I arrived in a room with a big board on the wall and a key thing in the middle of the room?" I inform him. "Yes, yes, yes, Isabella I'm a genius!" he laughs as I just roll my eyes.
"Please let's make an end of this and hurry up, I'm hungry," I inform him. "Fine, so what you just did is part one of our plan, looping the security cams. Now we're up to part two, stealing their information. All you need to do is take the key your father gave you out and plug it in that keyhole-" he instructs while I do as told.
"That 'board' as you call it, will change into a loading screen and the moment that key fits into its hole it'll start loading." he continues.
I wait to look around one more time before putting the key into its place. And fortunately, it fits. "We're in, genius," I speak up, a grin forming on my lips.
But, remember how they always tell us not to be delighted in advance?
Well, fuck me.
All of a sudden I'm surrounded by three men in black uniforms and guns pointing at me. Actually, I changed my mind, fuck them.
"Only three men? Pff, I expected them to not underestimate me. Unfortunate for them?" I shrug my shoulders, rolling up my sleeves. "Turn around and hands in the air!" one of them commands.
"I do not take orders from you, asshole. Jezus, why does everyone keep assuming that lately?" I tell them. "I said-" he keeps stepping closer to me as I interrupt him. "I heard you, but I don't think you heard me, podex," I jump up, holding myself on the bars that were attached to the ceiling, and kick the man's gun out of his hand.
It didn't take long for the other men to start shooting but when I held the now unarmed man his head in between my legs as protection they were quick to stop. The man who was stuck among my legs not two seconds ago fell to the ground letting some grumbling sounds out.
"Santino!" one of the men shouts, as he makes his way to the half-dead man. "Your first mistake was to get too close to your target," I tell them, looking at the man dying. As I look up at the third man still pointing his gun at me, fear in his eyes, I continue speaking, a smirk growing on my lips.
"Your second one to show your weakness and lose the target out of your sight," in the blink of an eye I grab my knife from under my dress and stab the person who's kneeling in front of the now-dead man, on the ground.
And seconds later the third man shoots his fire.
But, if there's something you need to know about me, it's that I don't do seconds, I work with milliseconds.
And before the man notices it, I'm already behind him, and is he the one responsible for the death of the second man. "Poor boy, he just watched his friend getting murdered before his other friend murdered him," I whisper in the third man's ear.
He was quick to turn around but once again, not quick enough. I fastly slip in between his legs, stealing his gun from his hands and shooting it right in between his legs. The moment he falls over I get up and wipe the blood off my hands.
"God, I've always wanted to do that,"
