[Alexander's POV]

I sucked in a deep breath and grabbed her outstretched hand, matching her smile as we sped off to the attic. I noticed that as I took her hand though, another feeling ran through my veins, and it wasn't just adrenaline. But there was no time for that, we clearly had some kind of mission to accomplish.

As we approached the door to the attic she let go of my hand and pointed the stick at the door, humming asit made its yellow light. I don't know what I expected when she opened that door but what I saw certainly wasn't it.

At first I saw an organic, slimy, crimson thing growing from the walls with suction cups placed almost strategically along it's circumference. Then the yellowish liquid within it, almost sickening. I didn't have time to examine it though as a red thing with tentacles matching well with its growth in my attic, jumped out at me and held on to me to ensure I couldn't squirm.

The Doctor made a sharp turning pointed the yellow stick at this creature "I knew it was a Zygon beacon" she said irritated

"Then you should know why I am here, Doctor" the thing behind me spoke

"A-A-And why are you here?" I asked, shakily

"To steal your identity, Alex" the Doctor said, as if it were a normal thing

I felt tingly all over before the thing behind me let go, but when I turned around there was no longer a red tentically thing but an exact copy of me.

"Wha-"

"The Zygon" started the Doctor "can copy the DNA print of anyone they touch" she said scowling

But before either of them could get a word in I said "fine, take it!" They both looked confused so I went on "look, I don't know what the hell is going on but if you wanna be me, go right on ahead"

"But Alex-" the Doctor began

"No, I'm serious" I retorted "you'll probably do a better job than me at it" I pointed to the 'Zygon' I looked at them both "ill just go and stay with a couple of friends for a bit to try and figure things out from here"

The Doctor thought for a moment, as did the 'Zygon'

"You are a very generous man, perhaps I judged you humans too quickly" spoke my clone "very well, if you are sure of this then I will remain in your body"

I smiled "yeah, sure" then remembered something "Oh, and if Mrs. Miller offers you cookies, don't take the ones with bits in"

It looked confused "why?"

I laughed briefly and replied "because, they look like choc chip, but they're raisin"

The Doctor looked horrified before the 'Zygon' spoke again "thank you, Alexander, I will do your name honour" and with that he vanished downstairs.

The Doctor and I stood in silence for a while looking mesmerised by the disgusting thing growing out of my attic before she said "you could come with me"

"What?" I queried

"Only if you'd want to, I'm a traveller you see and it gets very lonely on my own sometimes, when my other pals are on a break" she explained, very fast.

"One question, does this sort of thing happen often?" I asked

A look of sadness gilded her deep brown eyes "sort of, but usually it's tonnes more dangerous, you might not make it back"

I thought for a moment then replied with "in that case, definitely"

Her face lit up as she grasped my hand and dashed downstairs into the living room to a blue box, cleaner than the rest of the room. "Step on in!" She exclaimed.

I was hesitant at first but decided it would be rude not to, but when I did I was awestruck, I stepped put again and checked around the box before entering again and saying to the doctor "it- it's-" before fainting into her strong arms.
