Y/ns POV:

"KAZUMI! Hurry up and stop playing with that damn cat!" Kakashi said sternly, a little louder than needed, before turning away from me with a scowl and jumping off.

Pouting, I turned to the purring body in my arms and ran after Kakashi who was sprinting, most likely to annoy me and prove he was better, but I was more than capable of keeping up. The trees surrounding me were whacking and scrapping my body as I jumped after Kakashi, quickly catching up, before the trees began to thin out and the town houses came into view.

The Hokage had picked the most capable academy students for the boring repetitive scout jobs, but I'm glad it was a cat because I love cats. The reason we were doing genin missions was because all the genin who would usually be doing this work were too 'important' for it and were on other missions, or training for the upcoming Chunin exams, which were in a few weeks. The genin exams were also coming up pretty soon, so I was stoked about that and so was Obito, my twin brother. In a few years that would be us, we'd finally become real ninja and Obito would be one step closer to becoming the best Hokage the world has ever seen. I believed in him.

Something I was looking forward to however, was the payment of missions, at the moment we weren't even being payed because we were academy students and not ninja even though we did their chores. On top of that I'm stuck with Kakabaka on these missions! That should be paid for in itself. The mass in my arms seemed to sense my disagreement with Kakashi and seemed to cat-glare at him before turning back to me with curious and calculating eyes. He was beautiful. Whilst being invested with this cat, I ran into a ninja who fell over. Quickly standing up, I apologised profusely and helped him up. Speaking of which I noticed had the same white hair as Snow-Emo but was older.

"I'm so sorry sir!" I exclaimed.

"Dad what are you doing here?" The younger version of the man said. Ohhhhh so thaaaaats Kakabakas father, nothing like Kakashi but I can see the resemblance. I thought before helping him pick up his grocery bags.

"Ahh Kakashi I was on my way home to make your favourite, Miso soup with eggplant. You know, because it's your birthday" He said before turning in my direction. "So,this must be Kazumi Uchiha, the one you talk of so much." Sakumo on said with a mischievous gleam in his eyes whilst glancing at Kakashi who's eyes widened and his cheeks became tinted with a light pink, though you couldn't really tell because his mask was covering his face. Quickly however he caught himself and replied coolly;

"Yeah, the one I'm always complaining about. She isn't strong and hasn't even awakened her sharingan, pretty much useless." Kakashi said sparing me another annoyed glance. I didn't understand why but his words really stung.

I really was useless, I couldn't do anything of importance and I didn't have my sharingan. On top of that I may never awaken it because we are a branch family so it is unlikely. Then I'd just be a normal civilian.

He was right. Again.

"Now now Kakashi, just because she doesn't have her sharingan yet, doesn't make her useless. You don't have a sharingan and that doesn't make you useless, so what's the difference?" Sakumo said defending me.

"We'll actually there is a huge difference, I'm not an Uchiha therefore I can't awaken a sharingan, but she is an Uchiha therefore she'd be useless without it. It's simple really." The cocky little bast-

"Kakashi, stop that at once, or you won't get dinner!" Sakumo berated Kakashi because of his behaviour. Kakashi quickly stopped but sent another glare my way. If his hair was black I would have mistaken him for an Uchiha with that foul attitude of his, wouldn't be surprised if he started 'hn'ing.

"Yes father, I'll help you when we get this report to the Hokage." Kakashi said monotonously. With the nod from Sakumo he turned and started on his was to the Hokage tower.

"I'm sorry about him, he is a good kid, just has a big ego." Sakumo said with an awkward smile and sweat drop. Smiling back I told him it was all good and headed after Kakashi.

After eventually arriving at the Hokages tower, we quickly ran up all the stairs and to wher his office door stood. He was bound to be here because he never really left. In fact I'd never actually seen him outside of his office unless it was for very important business.

Kakashi proceeded to knock on the door politely before stepping back next to me. I shot him a look of distaste that the Uchiha clan was famous for without moving my head from facing the door, which he met with a blank but lazy glance before rolling his onyx black eyes. What a stuck up fool.

"Come in." The Hokages stern voice said, interrupting my train of thought. Kakashi pushed past me and into the room and I followed in after him glaring at the back of his head. The 3rd looked up from his paperwork when the three of us walked in, well the cat in my arms. I stepped forward to give the mission report but so did Kakashi, which turned into a 'who could glare at each other the longest' challenge. Obito was right, he's the most annoying gravity-defying-haired rat I've ever met!

Stepping ahead of Kakashi I quickly opened my mouth to tell the Hokage what happened. "Lost cat Mystery has been found and retrieved without much trouble!" I yelled in one breath trying to get as much information out as possible before Kakashi could speak, but it seems that already happened. It wasn't only my voice I had heard yell, it was Bakashis too.
