Demi paced back and forth in the hospital room she had been confined to for the past two days after giving birth to her daughter, Nolie Taylor Jonas. After much debate about the name they had finally settled and Demi couldn't be happier. She felt like she had helped to make the perfect little girl. Her dimple chin was obvious and her chubby cheeks added to her cuteness. Demi pecked her nose as she was sleeping and waited for Joe to come back up so they could leave.
Word had gotten out that Demi was leaving the hospital today so there was a swarm of paparazzi outside by the entrance of the hospital. Security was holding them back as much as possible so people could still get in and out comfortably but it was so bad that the police were on their way. Demi hadn't meant to cause such a ruckus.
"You ready?" Joe walked in with his prescription glasses on, the ones that everyone still thought were fake, and Demi went to buckle Nolie in her carrier as Joe grabbed Demi's bag. Demi covered Nolie with the protective cover on the carrier then put the blanket Miley had attempted to knit for her on top of that and another blanket that her mom had bought on top of that, making sure that no high tech camera could get any pictures of her two day old daughter.
"You carry her," Demi instructed, slinging her bag over her shoulder and the Chanel diaper bag that Miley had felt obligated to buy before following Joe out into the hallway towards the elevator. Joe's bodyguard was in front of them and Demi's was behind them, making sure that they were completely protected. Demi switched out her own prescription glasses for her sunglasses as they came to the lobby area. Their car was already parked out front and the paparazzi got even louder and even rowdier as they caught sight of the family.
"DEMI! JOE! WHAT'S HER NAME? CAN WE GET A PICTURE? HOW WAS IT? JOE IS THE BABY REALLY YOURS?" Demi clenched her fists as they climbed into the back of their black Escalade and Joe buckled the seatbelt over Nolie's carseat as she slept through the noise. The car door was closed and the driver honked the horn before turning around. Of course sitting in the driver's seat was no other than Miley herself because who else would be better to fight off paparazzi?
"You guys have been fucking up traffic," Miley said as she sped through the crowd and broke the speed limit of the hospital to get onto the main highway.
"Obviously," Joe remarked as Miley slowed down on cut off another car to get onto the right lane. She was a worse driver than Demi and Demi was a terrible driver.
"How's Nolie?" Demi looked down at Nolie, her facial features calm and innocent as she wildly sucked on the pink pacifier the hospital had given her and continued on sleeping.
"Sleeping like the little princess she is," Miley turned off onto the exit that led to the subdivision where their house was.
"I'm just glad the two of you pulled your head out of your asses and produced an adorable little jemi baby that we've been waiting for," Miley said, wiping away an invisible tear as Demi chuckled and sat back in her seat as they pulled into their circular driveway that led up to their garages.

Joe adoringly stared down at Nolie after Demi had placed her in the unique crib that a designer had hand built for them. Nolie yawned, her small pink lips making an 'o' shape before she turned her head and continued sleeping. Joe rubbed the small of Demi's back, knowing she was still sore as she lazily pressed against him, letting her head rest on his chest.
"I still can't believe we created someone so small," Demi said in astonishment as Joe chuckled and rubbed the part of her now flat stomach where Nolie had been inhabiting for the past nine months.
"I can't believe a human being came out of your body. Are you okay?" it just registered to Joe that Demi had pushed a little tiny body out of her body a little less than two days ago. And Nolie's head wasn't the smallest thing in the world so he couldn't even imagine how she was feeling at the moment.
"I'm sore and tired but I'm happy," Demi said, letting a soft trill of laughter leave her mouth.
"Lets go to bed then mommy," Joe cooed, wrapping his arms around the bend of her knees and underneath her armpits before sweeping her up and carrying her into their bedroom.
"We have an hour before everyone comes and bothers us," Demi rolled her eyes as she pulled the covers over herself and Joe cuddled up to her.
"Sleep my love. If they come before then, I won't wake you up," Joe promised as Demi let herself get comfortable and drift off into a much needed sleep.
"DEMSY! DEMSY! DEMSY! DEMSY! DEMSY!" was the first thing Demi heard when she woke up. She checked the time on her phone, discovering that she had sleept for a good two hours. She wiped the disgusting drool off of the side of her face before sitting up, noticing Lexi comfortably sitting on the edge of her bed with a huge smile on her face.
"YOU'RE AWAKE!" she squealed, pouncing on Demi with a huge hug as Demi groaned and lightly patted her back.
"NOLIE IS SO CUTE. I WANT A BABY SISTER. CAN NOLIE BE MY BABY SISTER?" Demi had no idea why Lexi was screaming at her but she weakly nodded before Lexi squealed again and climbed off of her, running out of the room with a huge smile on her face. Demi groggily pushed the covers aside and ran her fingers through the knots in her hair before securing it into a loose ponytail. She walked across the hall to Nolie's room, taking in the fact that it was empty meaning that everyone had arrived and was gushing over her.
"There's sleeping beauty," Nick joked as Demi released a sarcastic laugh. Everyone was in her kitchen, gathered around Dianna who was holding Nolie who was now wide awake. As soon as her eyes landed on Demi she let out a loud cry and squirmed in Dianna's arms. Demi found it amazing how she already recognized her but considering they had been pretty close for the past nine months, she wasn't that surprised.
"Hi baby," Demi cooed. Nolie was only 6 lbs and 4 oz when she was born, making her light as a feather. Demi sat down next to her mom as Lexi placed her hands on her knees and stood on her tip toes to get a good look at Nolie.
"Why is she so small?" Lexi asked as everyone awed as if Nolie was actually Lexi's little sister. Justin lifted Lexi up and set her by Demi so she wouldn't hurt herself as Demi fixed the cover Nolie was swaddled up in.
"All babies start off small. You were this small before," Demi explained as Nolie's big brown eyes wondered around the room, taking in the surroundings that would soon become very familiar to her.
"But I got bigger. It doesn't look like she's gonna get bigger," Lexi pointed out as Joe smiled and lifted her up, letting her sit on his lap as he sat next to Demi and placed a wet kiss on her cheek.
"She'll get bigger. Just like how you keep growing, she will too. And then you can teach her the things you know," a loud sob broke the silence and everyone's eyes averted to Miley who was dramatically wiping away her fallen tears.
"Everything is so perfect, its too much to handle," she fanned at her eyes as a wide grin broke across Nolie's face, causing her whole face to light up.
"Everything's perfect," Joe cooed into Demi's ear as a small hint of a blush traveled from her neck to her cheeks.
