Chapter 2

. . . Little did we all know, our lives would change when we got to the market that day.

Y/N's POV

Eda, King, and I arrived at the market and began to set up Eda's stand. She sells human collectibles. Eda doesn't understand what a lot of the things are so she sells the stuff wrong, but I let her do things how she likes. I was sitting on the sales table scrolling through social medias while we all waited for Owlbert to come back with more human items.

As we were waiting, selling what we had in the mean time, I seen a pretty wealthy looking guy walking about the market. I glanced over to Eda gesturing my head towards the rich guy and she returned a gesture, winking at me in the process, encouraging me to steal his stuff. I gave a nod back, casually slipping away and making my way over to the guy. I pretended to fall into him then proceeded to talk to him for awhile. In total, I scored a watch, some rings, quite a couple snails, and then he gave me some snails on his own because he felt bad that I fell. I'd feel bad for stealing from him since it seems like a kind thing of him to do, but I also just watched him take a kids candy while talking to it's mom so I feel nothing whatsoever.

I get back to the stand and notice a new person with Eda and King. She has round ears! That's when I realized I know who she is, we live on the same street. "Hey N/N, look, we found a human!" Eda cackled. The girl turns and looks at me and her jaw drops, "Y/N? What are you doing here in this place!" She asked in shock. I chuckle quietly, "Oh Luz, we aren't like you." I reply with a sly smile, lifting my hands to mess with ears so she looks at them. She stands shocked just looking around, it's sweet, knowing her as a person Luz must be ecstatic. "Y/N, you know this thing?" King asked, Eda throwing in her two cents saying "It's a human King." I move my hand to close Luz's jaw, "Yes, I do. We live on the same street back in the human realm. My Nana and I babysat her when we were younger sometimes." I explained. We all talked more and Eda finally welcomed Luz to the Boiling Isles, then after Luz ran for a minute and begged Eda to eat her already, she tried selling Luz some human things. Luz showed Eda to put the batteries in this little TV and it drew in a big crowd once it started working. "What'd you say your name was again?" Eda asked Luz. "My name is Luz, Luz Noceda-" just then a coven scout came from no where, trying to arrest us.

"Eda Clawthorne and Y/N Bluebell, you are both under arrest for wild magic, assaulting scouts, theft, owning a hocus without a pocus..." The scout said rambling on about more laws that we've broke. "Hey! I've never actually broken any of your dumb laws! Infront of you!-" Eda shouted back. Suddenly more scouts started to come and I yelled, "Run!" Eda packed up the stand into a bag with her magic and we all got on staffs. We started flying through the streets to escape, I had King and Eda had Luz. Thankfully we escaped successfully and made it back home. There we brought Luz inside and introduced her to The Owl House ✨.

We all talked together and Luz asked if we would be able to get her back home, and just as I was going to open the portal with the key Eda snatched it from me. "We'll help to send you home human, if you help us with something as well," She spoke. "What do we need help with Eda?" I said in curiosity, anything we needed to do we could do it ourselves, so why do we need help now? King gestured to the top of his head, then I remembered we need to get him his crown. Where the crown is being stored is only accessible by Emperor Belos or a human. I always thought that was odd. If a human can enter as well as Emperor Belos, why can't any other being enter?

The four of us, Luz, Eda, King, and I, made plan for a heist. I named the plan, 'A Crown for a King', I thought it was silly. We headed out, but, before the departure I put on my thieving clothes and my mask (I like how people can't see others features other than my eyes). Eda went off one way, meanwhile Luz, King, and I entered by a levitation spell. We walked through the halls filled with cells quietly, it was sad seeing so many people locked up, especially knowing most didn't do anything wrong. Luz was talking to a few of the prisoners, they were all thrown in jail for no reason. One lady liked writing fanfictions about food, this guy just likes eating his own eyes, and a little kid thinks the world is a triangle.
