In the morning, when I unlocked my phone, I had two texts from cannelloni.

Caleb (cannelloni): I'll take it tomorrow. Have to go somewhere and your office is on my way.
Caleb (cannelloni): Hope you won't mind.

Now, does that last text feels like he's making fun of me?

Whatever.

But that was the first thing Sebastian asked. "Did you manage to get in contact with him?"

"No, but I did inform his driver about that and he'll be coming today?"

"Who? Mr Smith or his driver?" Sebastian raised his eyebrows.

"His driver."

"You're sure it really is his driver, right?"

"Yes, I'm pretty sure. I saw them together yesterday. "

Plus, cannelloni doesn't seem like a fraud.

"So, what's up for us this morning?" Sebastian casually asked moving past me and I looked at his schedule.

Oh, boy. We're in for a marathon this morning.

                                  ☣

Meetings after meetings and I found myself at the edge of the cliff that's boredom. One more, and I'm falling into a meeting coma.

My only entertainment in the current meeting was a lady sitting next to Sebastian. Her dressing style and elegance did wonders to mine. But even that couldn't help me from this hellhole.

Usually, I don't accompany Sebastian in his meetings, I only organise them. But there are exceptions when he wouldn't feel well and would want me to take notes. Today was neither. He asked me if I had work and I, out of fun, said I was ready to sit and attend phone calls. He totally surprised me by saying, "Come with me then, let's give you some entertainment."

I'd like to believe he was pulling my leg because nothing about these meetings was entertaining.

The first blame goes to the conference room, which yells depression. A dull dark room with a huge table and chairs around it.

Ugh.

The second goes to the participants. Most of them were middle-aged men and that made me sad. At least, if some of them were a bit young, it would've been entertaining as Sebastian said.

Two of the five meetings were over and this was the third one I was subjected to. The only thing I enjoyed was going out to get coffees after each torturous meeting.

I was so into analysing the lady in front of me that I didn't notice Sebastian was at the door until he called me.

"Yes?" I answered, clearing my throat and found Chase next to him, ready to go back.

When did he get here?

Sebastian beckoned me and I went to them.

"Is the driver's name Caleb?" Sebastian asked and it took me a few seconds to realise and nod.

"He's here then." He looked at the people around the table and then at me. "You go then, give him the thing. You know where it is."

"Okay, right." Eureka!

"Oh and Naomi?" He called again and I turned back.

"I'll save you from the next two meetings as well." He smirked closing the door and I almost did a happy dance there.

Caleb was busy observing the room and sipping his coffee when I walked in.

"Hey," I mumbled and waved when he looked at me.
