Love lies, doesn't it?
The heart betrays us, doesn't it?
Our feelings cover things up, don't they?
Sometimes our minds are tricked, aren't they?
The little things they remember
The way they smile at us
The way they seemingly light up around us
The fact that they always listen
Those things lie to us, don't they?
So I'm tired of the lies,
Of doubting every single thing.
What happens when you find truth?
But believe it's a lie?
What happens then?
Does love still exist?
Or are we lying to ourselves too?
Either way my heart doesn't stop.
It wants more,
Love or lies, I know not
And that is the worst part of it all.
