My eyes flew open. I turned on my bedside lamp and saw the time, 5:45. I was sticky with sweat. I got up to adjust the temperature of the air conditioner and found that it had gone into standby mode.

As my remote was buried under mountains of dirty laundary, I thought of adjusting the AC from its touch pad itself. I looked around the room for a stool, I found it and brought it under the AC. I stood up on it and make the appropriate setting for this burning hell hole of a room.

I was just about to step down, when I lost my balance and landed on the dirty laundary. My butt hit something solid. It was really hurting me. I got up and pain shot up my ass.

I picked up whatever I was sitting on. "You little monster" I cursed under my breath. It was that damned AC remote.

I wanted to sleep but my butt hurt. I got downstairs to find mom making breakfast. "Mom, my butt hurts" I complained. "Well, that's a rather odd way to greet your mother but I'll let it slide." She didn't lookup. "No, I'm serious, I was..., Uh.. Let it be, I'm gonna get dressed" I went to my room

After 13 years of knowing my mom, I knew she was gonna make fun of me. Though she was the best, but she didn't leave even a single opportunity to pull my leg. At malls, cinema, PTA meetings, at my friends party, etcetera.

I painfully got dressed, dropping the idea of taking a shower. I found a skirt at the back of my closet and tried it on. Today, I couldn't wear jeans, pants, shorts, capris, cargos or even leggings. I pulled on a semi-clean top. Braided my hair, packed my bag and went downstairs.

"OH MY GOD! I just realized I had a sister." Paul remarked as I walked in. "Paul, congratulation! On getting your eyesight back." I commented. "Will you two stop" My mom, for the first time in forever didn't participate in our little game.

Dad came down, announcing that he felt too sick to go to work. The real deal was, today was a football game or something and he wanted to watch it. He called his Boss, talking in a sick tone.

I placed my plate in the sink and got my bag to leave. I bid my family goodbye and started walking to the bus stop.

The bus stop was nearby and didn't take long to reach. Anyway, I was early today. I boarded the bus, and saw Sally sitting in the corner seat.

"Hey chopsticks!" I greeted her as I took a seat beside her. "You really gotta stop calling me that." She had huge bags under her eyes. I didn't ask about it. "Why so glumy? Its the last day of school!" I stated happily.

"I got asked out" She said in a sad voice. I slapped her firmly. "What the hell was that for?!" She was stunned by my little act. Score!

"If you're ever sad around me and especially in the morning, I'm gonna slap you, so that you come out of you're sad trance." I said.

"And, who asked you out?" She took her sweet time telling me. She rubbed her cheek and said "It was Kolon Bash. Do you know him?"

"Yeah, he's that cute guy right?" She nodded. "He was in my art class last year." His face came to my mind. He had a really adorable face.

"I said yes." She said in a cool voice. My slap really loosened her up. "Great, where are you guys going?" I was really happy she was getting to know people.

"We're going to Burger King" The bus came to a halt in front of the school. We got off and met with my friends in the corridor. "Hey Miranda! We missed you yesterday. You missed Andy landing in a pizza face down." Andrew said.

Andrew Stails is my best friend, he's the kind of guy who can be funny without being offensive. Who can be up and personal with you without being intrusive.

"Thank god I wasn't there, or I would've stopped eating pizzas forever. Can you imagine Andy Ullie toppings?" We all laughed, even Sally and Andy gave me an evil eye.

"Guys, this is Sally Kingston and Sally these are my friends, Andy Ullie, Andrew Stails, Daisy Garffe, Isabel Suray and Allison Suray." They all exchanged greetings but were interrupted by the bell. "Guess we should go to class now. Coming Andrew?" Isabel asked in a sweet voice which was so not her.

She was an eagle. A vulture. And so was Allie. I hated them both but hanged with them because of Andy and Andrew. Her action seemed a little fake so I called out to Andrew "Hey! Wait up. I wanna talk to you."

I murmured a see you to everybody else and went to join Andrew. "What's up with you and Isabel?" I ask straightly. "We're together. Finally. It happened yesterday." He looked so happy but I felt as if I've just been punched in the stomach.

"You know, she's playing you. First Andy and then you and then Perri. Now, again you. I'm telling you she's not what she seems" Ironical enough, Marcy said the same thing too me.

"Miranda, not again. She was confused last time but now she's sure. She loves me and dating other people has made her realize her that. Bye now" We both took books out of our locker and parted ways.

I know I am right. I was right the last time about Andrew and Andy, and I still am.

I went to math class feeling unknowing and insanely jealous.
