Luke's POV

The next day I woke up to a good morning text from the boy who'd sang me to sleep the night before.

???? : Good morning princess. Glad you liked my singing, I could hear you snoring by the second verse.

Me : Yeah well, you're okay I guess.

???? : Don't lie, you loved it.

Me : Okay fine, it was like an angel had descended from the heavens and sang to me through a phone.

???? : That's what I thought.

I put my phone down on my bedside locker, not able to hold in my grin. This boy was an asshole, but he pulled it off.

Another note fell out of my locker when I opened it before classes that morning.

"Luke
There's not really any need for these notes any more, but you always look so much happier for the rest of the day when you get them. Anyway, I just wanted to remind you you're possibly the cutest little princess I've ever had the pleasure of talking to and I want you to have the best day you can. It'd be great if that day involved calling me.
Take care,

He was right. I did look a whole lot happier for the rest of the day. And my day did indeed involve calling him.

~

I planned out my evening in my head during geography class.
1. Get home
2. Eat
3. Homework
4. Call him
5. Sleep (or talk to him all night whichever worked)

I ended up calling him before homework. I just couldn't wait to hear his adorable voice again. I think that might have been when I realized I was in too deep.

We talked for hours, I ended up getting him to help me with my homework. He was kind of a genius, it was great. He helped me write maybe the best essay I've ever wrote.

"You must be a straight-A student" I said, kind of in awe.
"Well, yeah, I try"
"I've fallen for a prodigy"

And then I realized I'd just told him if fallen for him. At least I hadn't said fallen in love, which, between you and me, I think I had. I held my breath waiting for his answer.

"You....You've fallen for me?" He said quietly.
"Well..uhm..yes?" It came out as more if a question than a reply.

"Finally" He breathed out.

I smiled to myself. There was no going back now.
