When school came around and Nancy approached her with Barb following behind, Ainsley finally focused since her mind had been racing all day, she felt like she had been in her head all day and not in the classroom, her grades would defiantly reflect this.

"Hey, Andrew was freaking out this morning. Where were you?" Nancy asks, she sounds like Ainsley's mother when she's around.

She sighed "I just got caught up in something, do you want to stop sounding like my mother for my seconds?" Ainsley suggests with a sarcastic look of surprise on her face.

"I'm just trying to look out for you" Nancy responds but it isn't fooling Ainsley, and she's also on edge so anyone was a target.

"I don't need someone to babysit me, Nancy" Ainsley snickered as she turned her back on the pair and slammed her locker shut

"Oh so you woke up and decided to be this Ainsley today?" Nancy snaps and it makes the girl in front of her scoff.

"God, Nancy, just because you changed yourself to be popular doesn't mean we all do" Ainsley finally said leaving her speechless and what to better a situation than Steve and his posse.

Steve came over and hugged Nancy tightly, vanishing the look of sadness on her face and replacing it with a smile but Ainsley was more focused on Tommy, as his wet willyed Barb.

She pushed herself off the locker and shoved Tommy "Wow, Wilson, calm down. It was a joke!" He laughed as Carol giggled along with him.

"Now, on to more important matters. My dad has left town on a conference and my mums gone with him, 'cause, you know, she doesn't trust him" Steve cuts off the bickering pair as he speaks to Nancy.

Explained why there was no one at his house this morning.

"Good call." Tommy chips in and Ainsley swears her eyes are going to roll into the back of her head

"So are you in?" Steve follow up.

"In for what?" Nancy asks confused, and honestly Ainsley was to, what the hell were they hinting at? She hated assholes they never made sense.

"No parents? Big House?" Carol says slowly.

"A party?"

"Ding, ding, ding!" Carol teases with a look of boredom on her face. Ainsley guesses that this is the last thing Carol wants losers going to her party and the thought makes her smile.

"It's Tuesday." Nancy mutters confused and Ainsley face palms, at least they were secretive about how stupid they were.

"It's Tuesday!" Tommy mocks Nancy as him and Carol laugh at the brunette girl, Ainsley frowns but she is still slightly annoyed with her friend so she just crosses her shoulders.
