More Than They Believe

Chapter 10

Giyuu's POV
So I got up and was getting ready when I got a text from Sanemi.

'Can we meet later instead of noon? Things popped up, so how about dinner instead?'

I understood, he might have to work or deal with some issues. So I just messaged an okay. Then we quickly decided on a restaurant. So I'm pretty much free until dinner. The best excuse I can think of to tell Tanjiro and Nezuko is that I'm going on a date. It was a lie but it makes the most sense. So I told them and they got really excited about it. So since it was a Saturday now, they didn’t go to school.
We spent most of the day cleaning and watching movies. Then as it got closer to dinner time they decided to help me get ready. I kept my hair in its normal messy ponytail. I didn't want to mess with it. Then we decided on me wearing a nice jacket and dress pants. The shirt underneath is a white button up. I didn’t look that bad.
Soon enough it was time for me to go. Tanjiro said he was fine making dinner and staying back with Nezuko. So I nodded and left, then headed to the restaurant. I looked around but it seemed as though he wasn't here yet. So I got seated at a table and waited. He arrived a few minutes later. He was wearing a white top, covered mostly by a black vest. His pants were black dress pants. He looked really good.
I almost couldn't stop staring but I was able to. He sat down and we ordered some drinks. Just some waters for now but he said he'd be having some alcohol later. I should probably join him to make things less tense. After our water arrived, we ordered some food. Then during the wait, we chatted.

"I'm sure you have questions, so please ask them."

"Who is all apart of the uh.."

He looked around. I could tell he was seeing if anyone could hear us. This is why I had us sit in a more isolated table. So we could freely talk about what we needed to. Without fear of being heard by others. I told him to not worry and to speak his mind. He sighed and ran his hand through his hair. Then he continued.

"Who is all in the mafia? At least who should I know about?"

I nodded and explained the main people who are in this area. The mafia members I'm more acquainted with.

"Well there is Shinobu, Kyojuro, Obanai, and Tengen. They are nearby and you'll see them often."

He seemed to understand, then I explained what they were like. That way he could make sense of what they are like. I feel like he'd get along with Obanai. Unfortunately Obanai doesn't really like me that well. He had a few more questions but we quickly stopped talking as the waiter got closer. They handed us our food and we ate. While we ate, we were pretty quiet. It was a comfort silence though. I think he is warming up to the idea of being in the mafia. Which makes me glad.
