Chapter 7: How to catch a thief

Your PoV

After being accused of being a thief known to glide around, me, along with Amber search for the real thief's hideout. With my spear I head towards the main gates to the city where I find Amber waiting

Amber: "he was spotted heading in this direction. Maybe we can find something"

"Any other info?"

Amber: "this Raptor guy glides, he went this direction, so my guess is somewhere high up would be a good place to look"

"Tree house? Cliff side cave.. mountain? So many possible high lairs for a thief to use.. let's make a bet"

Amber: "a bet?"

"Whoever guesses what his base is gets a meal from the other person. How does that sound?"

Amber: "hmm.. agreed. I say it's a.. tree house"

"Damn that was what I was going to guess.. I'm gonna say it's in a small cave in the side of a hill or mountain"

Paimon: "Paimon think's you both are being silly.. it's most likely an abandoned house that nobody would think to check"

"Oh you think he's using the 'it's too obvious to be the hiding spot' bluff?"

Time skip

Me, Paimon and Amber searched for the hide out of this 'Raptor' person for about an hour or two now and we still have nothing

Amber: "where haven't we checked?"

".. why are we still looking when we can be doing something better"

Amber: "like what? Setting a trap? We need bait for that.. and how can we guarantee he will go for it"

"Got anything shiny you don't mind using?"

Amber: "not really.. your spear probably isn't a good idea to use.. let's ask some of the knights of Favonius if they have anything we can use"

"Good idea"

Timeskip

After placing a treasure chest filled with rocks in an easy to watch spot me and Amber wait for anyone going for it

Amber: "since it's on a roof nobody else would need to be up there for it. So as soon as we see someone we go"

"Since that would most likely be our guy"

Amber: "this plan is flawless!"

"Only one flaw.. how long do we have to wait?"

Amber: "eh..he."

Timeskip

"I spy with my little eye something.. blue"

Amber: "the sky?"

"Nope"

Amber: "someone's clothing?"

"Not quite"

Amber: "the fountain?"

"Bingo! Another point to the gliding champion"

Amber: "yeah!.. ok would you rather.. be able to teleport short distances like across town or something.. or be able to control more than one element?"

"Oh easy. Elements are cool so I'd go for that"

Amber: "what two would you choose?"

"Well I'd keep electro.. maybe pyro or hydro would be cool.. anemo would be nice too so I guess just electro and see what else fate decides"
