George started to sign the papers in front of him, bored.  He hasn't been allowed to go on any calls lately, since the last time he broke a major protocol and someone had gotten hurt in the process. He would be allowed to return in 4 months if he had learned his lesson by then.

George POV:

It would be a lie if I said I wasn't tired, I was exhausted. Last night, I hardly slept at all. But, I cannot let sleep overtake me. I have paperwork to get done, and at this rate, I'll get nothing done.

I deeply sighed before trying to get back to work when I heard a knock on my door.

I deeply sighed before trying to get back to work when I heard a knock on my door interrupt me once again. "Come in!" I hollered from my desk.

I heard a loud door creek before I lifted my head to see my best friend Karl striding in with a large grin spread across his face.

I smiled back and looked behind him to see someone unfamiliar. He wore a white short-sleeved shirt with a fire- or what I assumed to be in the center above a long-sleeved black one, and had a white bandana around his black hair, and looked nervous to be here.

Karl nudged him inside the room as he stumbled to get inside.

3rd Person POV:

"This is Nick, he's a new employee here!" Karl informed George while pointing to Nick.

"Nice to meet you, I'm George," George stood up and faced Nick and forced a somewhat awkward smile before turning to a beaming Karl and holding his arms out for a hug. Karl took that opportunity and gave him a tight hug, "I see you like the new co-worker," George whispered in Karl's ear. Karl immediately exploded into a large blush when hearing that statement, hoping Nick didn't hear. George burst out laughing as they parted and George headed back behind his desk.

"I'm going to go find my room," Nick finally spoke up. Karl hummed in response and joined George behind his desk.

Nick left the room and left Karl and George together to find something to do. Karl stood behind George for a minute before speaking, "Did you hear, there's a new criminal? I'll be on their case and hopefully, be the one to catch them!"

Since I didn't make it very clear; George is a cop and Karl is a detective, but they both work in the same building, which is a police station. If anybody is confused about anything, feel free to ask about whatever is causing you confusion!

"That's cool, but aren't you ever scared that you might get killed?" George asked, frightened by Karl's enthusiasm.

"Not really, there's not much of a chance to be killed if I'm always around so many others," Karl replied, not understanding George's extreme worry. George nodded before looking back at his paperwork.

After about two hours and twenty minutes, Karl left, leaving George alone to sorrow alone. George decided he should grab food from upstairs in the kitchen and he did so.

The clack of his shoes could be heard as he returned to his room. He twisted the handle to his door and strolled inside with a cookie in his mouth and three in his hand. He pulled his chair out with his free hand and opened his desk drawer to find a tissue to lay the cookies on. He grabbed one tissue from the box that was gracefully placed in the desk drawer and laid it out in a free spot on his desk.

He was about to close the drawer when he noticed something. He reached into the drawer to find his glasses. These were meant to help him see the "correct" colors, but he forgot he had them.

George placed the glasses on his face and looked through them. It took him a second to adjust, but he opened his eyes to see everything he had forgotten what they looked like. He spun around once before laughing at himself for acting like a child as he took the glasses off.

He plopped in his chair before yawning and laying his head on the desk in front of him and drifting into a deep sleep after a few seconds.

George opened his eyes and shook his mouse to wake up the computer in front of him to reveal the time; 10:35 pm. "shit, I slept for that long" he thought to himself. George rubbed his eyes and sat up straight before trying to stand and leave the building.

As George walked down the halls, he shoved his glasses in his pocket, so both his hands would be free as he left the mostly vacant building.

He looked up to the sky to see the moon in plain sight. No clouds or anything was blocking the beautiful sight above him. He lowered his head and focused on getting to his destination. He walked down the bumpy road once again until he reached his home.

He opened the door and took a step inside before flipping the light switch beside the door to reveal a bright kitchen.

George took off his shoes and was going to go to his room until he remembered something, his glasses. George took out his glasses and put them on before looking around when something caught his eye.

George walked toward the kitchen table and picked up the note left at his door, but he realized something he had failed to do earlier. The note was not written with yellow or even a marker... it was written with blood.

Soooooo... what do you think?

The reader was introduced to Karl and Sapnap, along with George realizing he got a sweet note written in somebodies blood.
