George awoke on the familiar mattress and looked around. It was pretty bright outside, maybe like 11:30pm. George found that strange since Dream would've come in and fed him already.

Maybe Dream was mad at him. He shouldn't have said that earlier.

He remembered how Dream froze up when he said those damn words, how Dream shoved him inside once he broke from his trance. How Dream didn't say a word to him, pushed him into the room, and left.

He wished he had just listened to Dream and gone inside.

George stood up and walked to the door and knocked on it twice, but heard nothing. He sighed and sat on the bed when he noticed something on the ground. It was a scrap of paper. It had shaky handwriting and stains of what looked to be water.

He picked it up and read it aloud.

"I'm sorry, George. I cannot make you suffer anymore. I'm setting you free. When you wake up today, I will be gone and all the doors are unlocked. You've seen how to get to the living room and can just walk out the front door. I'm sorry for the pain I caused you and I hope someday that you will forgive me. I love you too, George, and I can't stand to hurt you any longer. When you get free, feel welcome to tell the police everything. The abuse, manipulation, everything. I'm so sorry for what I've done and hope that someday you can forgive me. I've never wanted to hurt you — or anybody for that matter. Goodbye forever, George."

Tears clouded George's vision as he lifted his head towards the door. It couldn't be that easy, right?

He stood up and twisted the handle and the door pushed open. His eyes widened as he looked around for any signs of this being a trick, but he didn't find anything. He walked out of the room and looked around.

George walked to the front door and did the same action as he did with the other door. The hot breeze hit him as he pushed the door open. He silently gasped and walked outside.

"Listen, George, you went through something that nobody should, but we can't help you if you don't say anything to us," a voice spoke sweetly.

"I'm sorry, officer, but I don't know what to tell you. He kidnapped me and then one day let me go. That's all there is," George shifted in his seat and spoke quietly.

George sighed and walked into his familiar house. He looked around around it like he'd never seen it when something caught his eye.

The bear sitting on the counter. He smiled slightly and grabbed it. HE stared into the black eyes when he noticed something... Strange.

A flashing light staring back at him.
