Lonnie sighed as she put her phone away.
"You should talk to your parents." a male voice said and she looked up.
"Hey." Lonnie said with a smile and she felt his lips on hers.
"Five damn years..." he said and Lonnie sighed.
"Yea... I still can't believe that he's dead."
"Sorry for not having any sympathy for him."
"I know. But can you at least have some sympathy for me?"
"Always."

Lonnie was meeting up with Jane later that day.
"Have you talked to your parents yet?"
"That's the first thing you ask, seriously?"
"I'm worried about you. You haven't talked to them ever since-"
"I know Jane. They didn't accept my choices. That's not very honourable coming from a honourable family, is it?"
"Don't you think five years is long enough to wait. You can't shut them out forver."
"I can and I will. They haven't showed me any kind of 'wanting me to return' so why would I?"
"Lonnie..." Jane said with slight warning and the Chinese girl sighed.
"Jane, it'll be fine. Just, not now. Okay? Besides we got a surprise party to plan."
"Right... for your boyfriend."
"...you know he proposed to me."
"And you still didn't give him an answer."
"What if it's too fast? I don't want to marry, divorce and remarry."
"Fair."
