CHAPTER 28

3 YEARS AGO...

"Byul, I'm sorry if I made a decision without informing you. I just saw her potential so I hired her and she's been working for our company for almost two months now."

Mr. Moon had a business trip in Las Vegas and after his work, he flew to California to visit his eldest daughter.

Byul-Yi was so excited to see her dad but she was so disappointed when her father hired Yong Sun to their company.

"Dad? Why did you just say that now to me? Why just now?" Byul said disappointedly.

"I'm afraid you're against my decision." Mr. Moon said.

"Yes, I'm against it! You let her work for our company. What if our employees know about our past? Even though I'm still not okay with her, I couldn't bear to see others mock her because of me."

"What do you want me to do? Fired her without any reason? You know I am not that kind of person. I take my personal life out of my work. That's what really matters. You should learn that, Byul."

Byul's blood suddenly boiled. She always thinks that maybe she is being punished because wherever she goes, yesterday's nightmare always follows her.

She has a relationship with Jin who is her ex-girlfriend's cousin and now Yong Sun is working for her soon to be company.

"She can't see me dad. She's still clueless about my life."

"Byul, why are you still like this? If she knows the truth, let her..."

"I don't know dad. I can't face her. I'm afraid once we see each other again, I might fa--- something bad will happen again."

"Byul...", Mr. Moon hugs his daughter and caresses her back. He just wants to see her happiness again like what he saw before when she was still in High School. "Byul...", then he holds her face. "If you see her and something unpleasant happens again... don't be afraid. I know you had a hard time to forget everything about her but don't try harder and be with the flow if that is what brings happiness to you."

"Dad...Thank you for everything. I don't know what I would do without you." Byul said while her head was on Mr. Moon's chest.

"No matter what happens, I'm always here for you. To protect you and your loved ones. I promise."

After what happened, Byul decided to let Yong Sun to work at their company but she transferred her to their newly built company that she created herself.

When President Moon was back in Bucheon, South Korea, he talked to his chief accountant to move Yong Sun to Seoul. So after 2 months of working in the MIMC, Yong Sun was moved to M. Star Agency as a new assistant accountant there.

"I did what you requested." Mr. Moon said to her daughter. "But why did you want her to move there?"

"She might know who I am when she stays to work in Bucheon. Unlike in our new company, almost no one knows me yet."

No one knows you yet, but soon. Byul thought.

"Okay...I'll see you on your graduation day. Take care."

After several months...

"Congratulations, Byul."

"Thank you, Dad. Thank you for attending my graduation day today."

"Ofcourse, I'm always here to support you. You're my eldest daughter and I'm so proud that you grew into a fine woman. I should give you the MIMC now." Mr. Moon proudly said to his daughter.
