CHAPTER 14

I Fell in Love with a Stranger

BYUL's POV

I didn't know how to react about what happened. Actually, she was talking but I couldn't hear her clearly because I was stunned and couldn't seem to forget her kiss on me.

I just woke up from my thoughts when she suddenly stood up, but before she could pass on me, I grabbed her arm to stop her from getting away. I wouldn't miss this opportunity, so I also stood up and stared into her eyes but then she avoided mine.

"Yong?" I called her name so she could look at me too. "Please, look into my eyes." I saw her doubtness so I touched her chin with my left hand and lifted it, where she accidentally looked at my eyes. Then I moved my hand from her chin to her right cheek and caressed it where I could see her calmness.

She said to me, "I'm sorry if I did that", and I just smiled at her. As she continued speaking, "I don't know what was on my m-mind to do that ", she stuttered but to alleviate her anxiety, I just gave a smack on her lips, which surprised her.

"B-Byu--", I cutted her words by kissing her again which took almost three seconds before saying, "I like you ... I've liked you for a long time, Yong Sun."

I just confessed. I saw how her eyes became bigger as she was surprised, then she took a deep breath just to calm herself down while trying to speak.

I was so nervous as I thought she would reject me, but then I breathed a sigh of relief when she hugged me so tightly and laid her head on my right shoulder. She was like that for about a minute. I also embraced her and put my right cheek on her head while sniffing and kissing it..

After a while she called my name and faced me. I saw her eyes shimmer as her lips smiled at me. She said, "I like you too, Byul." When I heard those words I couldn't help but smile so widely as if I didn't want the night to come to an end.

I never thought this night would come for the two of us. We didn't talk much as long as we knew we were happy with what was happening between the two of us.

Later, we decided to go home but she waited for me to board first before she went home. "Call me when you get home." She told me before I finally got into the taxi.

A few months passed where Yong Sun and Byul-Yi's special relationship became even more deeper. They don't have a so-called Label because they don't know if they both are ready yet but it was clear to them that they are just more than a friend.

The two met at the bus waiting area where they  could go on a friendly-date but actually not a friendly-date. When the bus arrived, the two younger women were sitting side by side in the bus seat where Yong Sun sat next to the window.

When they were comfortable in their seats, Byul couldn't help but hold Yong's hand while both of their cheeks blushed.

"There are so many people here." Yong Sun whispered to Byul, so the girl hid their clasped hands under her backpack.

"Now they can no longer see it." Byul whispered to her as well and they both smiled after.

An hour later, the two arrived at the Amusement Park not far away from their hometown and started to find a nice place where they could spend time together freely. "Unnie, let's enjoy our date?" Byul asks Yong Sun while walking and holding each other's hands. "Yeah, I would love that."

Byul suddenly acted like a baby in front of Yong Sun. "I'm hungry, unnie. Let's find food in the stalls here." while waving their holding hands.

Later on, they went to the Tteokbokki store where Byul chose it because she knew this was the food that Yong Sun loves the most.
