Smile

Charlie didn't really care about Ben's blatantly rude exit that he performed before. It's not like it was his first incident of things ending that way.

The only things Charlie could think about was Nick Nelson. Honestly, whenever Charlie had free-time, it was only that one boy, the boy that turned Charlie's life upside down...in a good way that is.

Throughout the week, Nick and Charlie had shared greeting with each other. Even though Charlie wished for more than just a occasional "hi" to each other, he didn't want to push it.

Suddenly, Charlie had bumped into someone.

"Oh sorry..." said Charlie.

He looked up, to see Nick Nelson right infront of him.

"It's fine" he responded. He smiled for a second, then turned his attention back onto something he was writing down.

Charlie was walking beside him, wondering how of all things that could've happened, he had bumped into Nick Nelson. Of all things!

Nick turned his attention back onto Charlie.

"Are you going that way?" he asked.

Charlie's train of thought was stopped abruptly.

"Uh...yeah, maths."

"Same." said Nick. He smiled at Charlie once again, and it seemed to lighten up the unfilled corridor.

Charlie's heart started to flutter, so he decided to distract himself. He turned his attention on the paper Nick was writing on. It was being supported by his math books. He looked closer, to see equations.

"Are you literally doing your math homework while walking to your lesson?" Charlie asked. He tried his best not to laugh, but he couldn't help but smile.

"I might be." Nick responded. Even though it clearly wasn't a question, it did slightly sound like as if it was one.

"That's very chaotic." continued Charlie. He suddenly had an idea, but he put that thought on hold as Nick started speaking.

"That makes me sound way cooler than I actually am" said Nick. Honestly, Charlie was getting flustered under his gaze. He shouldn't have said anything. Nick looked back down to his math homework.

Charlie noticed he was holding his breath, so he took a deep one and continued speaking.

"Do you want me to do that for you?" Charlie asked. He already completed his homework, and from what he could see, Nick was stuck on a question. The question didn't even look that difficult.

"Then I won't learn" responded Nick. These four words made it harder for Charlie to control his laughter. Who wouldn't jump to the opportunity for someone else to do your homework.

"If your stuck I can just...," Charlie reached forward for the homework, and successfully got a grip of it. "Let me just..." Charlie tried grabbing it out of Nicks hands, without success.

It was a tug-of-war. Nick wanted to do his homework, and was grabbing onto the book for his dear life. Charlie, on the other hand, did want to do Nicks homework, just so he could get closer to Nick.

Charlie suddenly felt something thin run over his hand. It was a very faint feeling, but Charlie still went to inspect it.

On the side of his hand was a blue line, maybe about 3cm long. It was obviously left from a pen. Charlie looked up and let go of Nick's book, and saw a blue fountain pen in Nick's hand. He knew   what did it.

"How dare you?" said Charlie, and jokingly angry tone in his voice. Yes, his voice did sound slightly angry, but his face was betraying his act.

Nick rolled his eyes and grabbed Charlie's hand. Charlie tried to get out of his grip, but failed. He felt to pokes on his hand, exactly over the blue line. Nick was drawing on his hand.
