Obi-Wan made his way through the busy streets of Naboo. He walked out into the fields, searching for what he was there to visit. At last he came upon it. There was a large headstone with a small figurine on it. The figurine was a stone hooded Jedi. Obi-Wan set his hand on the headstone as memories came flooding back to him. He remembered the noise of the ray shields, and sound of the clashing laser swords, and the horned figure who struck his master down. Obi-Wan removed his hood and kneeled down before the headstone. The stone read: 'Here lies Qui Gon Jinn, Jedi Knight, apprentice of Dooku, and master of Kenobi.'
"Already here, I see." a voice said from behind Obi-Wan. Obi-Wan turned around to see Anakin standing behind him. His former apprentice wore slightly darker robes, and had a hood and cape as well, and is hair had grown and was styled differently.
"Anakin. I thought you were leading the siege on Kalisk." Obi-Wan said, standing up.
"Master Quez and his padawan took over. They understood that I had somewhere important to be." Anakin said, looking over at the headstone.
"Thank you, my friend." Obi-Wan said, appreciating that Anakin had come to pay his respects.
"Of course, Obi-Wan. I owe it to him and to you." Anakin responded. Obi-Wan sighed as they both looked at the grave. The sun was beginning to set in the distance.
"It's been eleven years, and not a day goes by when I don't miss him." Obi-Wan said sadl as Anakin patted his shoulder.
"I concur." said a voice. Anakin and Obi-Wan whipped around to see a dark cloaked figure with a white beard.
"Dooku." Anakin said igniting his lightsaber. The blue shone brightly in the growing night.
"Put your weapon away, boy. I'm not here for a fight." Dooku said, walking up to them.
"Then why are you here?" Obi-Wan asked warily.
"To pay my respects. We may be on different sides, but we have something in upon, Obi-Wan. We both loved Qui Gon dearly. He was your master, and my apprentice." Dooku said, patting Qui Gon's headstone.
"How come we've never seen you when you've been here before?" Anakin asked Dooku angrily.
"I normally come just before the sun rises. But I needed to come earlier because I have matters to attend to later." Dooku said.
"Matters that involve the war, I presume?" Obi-Wan questioned the Sith Lord.
"Yes indeed. Today, Jedi, we were not enemies, but tomorrow, things are the same." Dooku said, putting up his hood and walking off.
"Wouldn't have it any other way." Anakin responded.
"I guess we should be leaving soon as well. We have matters to attend to elsewhere." Obi-Wan said to Anakin.
"Let's get going then." Anakin replied, as the two walked off . After they left, Dooku walked back into the field and put his hand on the headstone.
"Thank you my apprentice. You were a joy to teach, even if we choose different paths." Dooku said sadly, before signaling his ship to come retrieve him.
