Asher's P.O.V
It has been I wonderful 2 months. Of course, there have been up and downs but nothing we couldn't overcome. Leo is starting to trust me and Oliver more. We have spent more time all together and though Leo is still distant and very independent he is learning that his instincts will not lead him to harm. I still don't know all that he has been through, but his father has been dealt with and will never harm my Little Elf again. Eventually, Leo came to me asking for help with his study of elvish magic and I gladly assisted him. He seemed really reluctant at first but now he always seems excited to spend time together and work on his magical studies.
Today is different though. Today mine and Oliver's family are coming to meet our newest mate. I pushed it off is long as I could not knowing how Leo would react. I wanted to wait as long as I could. Oliver has been teaching Leo how a submissive elf should behave and Leo has been excelling in his studies. I know my family will be questioning me as to why I haven't administered the claiming bite to my submissive, but I don't want to rush Leo into anything. I hope nothing goes wrong but I can't help but think of all the possible scenarios.
Leo, Oliver, and I have spent all day in the library together. It has quickly become Leo's favorite room and I figured if we were in this room he would be calm and less nervous. I was trying to read a favorite book of mine, but I just couldn't focus. Luckily or unluckily, I didn't have to try any longer as Benjamin walked through the grand library doors we all turned at his arrival.
"Master Asher, your guests have arrived. Would you like me to lead them here?" Benjamin asks politely. He always was my favorite servant even when I was a child.
"That won't be necessary Benjamin. We will go to them." He nods before exiting. "Come on my loves. We have guests to greet." I walk in front with Leo in between and Oliver carrying up the rear in the proper arrangement for a group of mates. I lead my mates to the largest sitting room. I enter to see both me and Oliver's family mingling pleasantly and drinking tea amongst themselves. When we arrive we are immediately swarmed. And I am swiftly dragged away to be questioned by my mother and her sisters. I leave Oliver to take care of Leo and carry on putting to rest my families' questions and concerns.
"Why is he not marked yet?" My mother hisses in my ear.
"I am waiting until he is ready I will not pressure him into something he is not ready for." I state calmly.
"He is quite pretty. I bet he is such a wonderful submissive." My father says. There is a tinge of something more than adoration in his eye and I did not appreciate his interest in my submissive.
"You have your own submissive I suggest you keep your eyes off mine father." I say the edge of a dangerous growl in my voice.
"Of course, son." He assures. My mother is about to ask another prying question but before she could a piercing cry of distress enters the air. I turn immediately and I can't get to my submissive fast enough. I shove family members out of my way and wrestle past the cluster of Oliver's family surrounding Leo tightly. In seconds I had him in my arms and a split second after Oliver was wrapping around his other side. All our family members go silent.
"Everyone out!" I call. Everyone hesitates. "Now." I growl. They break out of their trance and rush out of the doors. I turn to Leo who was whimpering and crying while shaking in my arms. How could I let this happen? No. I can worry about that latter. Right now I have to make sure Leo is okay. Together me and Oliver are able to move Leo to one of the love seats in the room. I sit and pull Leo into my lap. He curls into me with no resistance. And Oliver starts rubbing his back and murmuring soothing words.
