Clairvoyant. What an odd word—it has a sense of serenity to it.

It is very rare to encounter a person with such gifts. A person who has the ability to explore above and beyond is quite powerful. They call them Witches. And by "they" i mean other supernatural creatures living in disguise—camouflaging with humans.

Witches are to be known as 'The servants of Nature', they keep the balance and order in the supernatural world. Mother Nature is who they draw their strength from— well some of them atleast.

There are many different ways and forms of practising witchcraft.

There's ancestral magic. This form of sorcery is through harnessing and drawing your power from those who came before you. Commonly practised by witches of the french quarter in New Orleans— A witch would draw her strength from her descendants and of those who were apart of the community before their life ended. This process continues until bloodlines seize to exist.

Then there's Dark Magic, also referred to as the Dark Arts or Black Magic, is a powerful form of witchcraft that draws on malevolent powers that asks the practitioner to tap into dark places of temptation. This evil reels you in making you want more as once you feel that first surge of power coursing through your veins—you want to feel it again. It manipulates and twists your mind into casting malicious and baleful spells, causing harm to those you wish upon.

Expression. This magic is so dark and powerful that it doesn't not call on natural magic to aid it. It draws on energy that is so malicious it would demolish the world if it were ever called into existence. It is forbidden for a witch to practise this sorcery as it poisons your mind and harms those around you. Witches are meant to bring peace and prosperity, not death and demise.

Kemiya (كيمياء; pronounced KE-mi-AH) is an Arabian form of witchcraft that allows a witch to physically destroy elemental foundation of an object in order to create another or to magically imbue said-creation with harmful, supernatural properties, thus creating a dark object.

Necromancy, a form of dark sorcery that dates back to ancient Greece that allows a witch to contact and communicate with, control and even raise the dead.

Sacrificial Magic is an immoral form of witchcraft used to channel power from offerings. Depending on who or what is sacrificed, the witch has the potential to be not only mystically enhanced, but also physically stronger.

Spirit Magic is a powerful form of witchcraft that called upon the aid of the "The Spirits". It was commonly used among witches as it was considered a major source of power. Since witches are the servants of Nature, and their purpose is to maintain the balance, they used the power that the Spirits provide by calling out to them which has usually been done by accessing a place marked with power.

And lastly we have Traditional Magic. Lesser known as Earth Magic, is the oldest and purest form of witchcraft inherent to the Earth and the forces of Nature. It is undoubtedly the most popular form of witchcraft known to witches; however, it is also the most exhausting. This is mainly due to the fact that whenever a witch uses this power, they must exert their own energy, causing them to experience symptoms of dizziness, fatigue, and nosebleeds.

Being able to harness enough power to be able to practise each form of magic individually takes a lot of time, patience and skill. It takes years for a witch to learn how to properly and safely practise the art.
It's not exactly impossible—but it is very difficult.
You must fight to be the best, put in your all. It's not a role just handed to you but a role you earn.

But there's so much more to magic. It's not just "magic", it is art. It gives possibilities, and changes your answer to maybe. It's beautiful but deadly if wrongly done. It's something so sacred, so miraculous. Something arcane—mysterious. Legendary.

HI EVERYONE!! I hope you all enjoyed this chapter that i've written. I'm not quite sure what it's supposed to be but i decided that i'll publish it while i still think of what the first actual chapter with all the characters will be. I have many alternative storylines and different starter chapters because i haven't yet decided what the storyline will actually be and how my oc will be portrayed. I'm sorry for not updating for so long i took a break bc life was just shit but i'm back now?? i think?? ANYWAYS I HOPE YOU GUYS ENJOY THIS IDK WHAT ELSE TO SAY IM LOW-KEY JUST WAFFLING

I got some of the information about the different forms of magic from The Vampire Diaries fandom on wiki. Their information was actually very useful so for whatever i have written that is theirs—all credit goes to them. I did of-course come up with my own bits and bobs. Just thought i should clarify this so yea thankyou whoever is apart of that fandom your information really helped me out and the credit goes to you!!
