Rishi came back from the office, still burning in anger. The image of Varun's fingers near Lakshmi's lips was imprinted in his mind, and even when he was trying to focus on something else, all he could think about was it.
He was going to hurt Malishka for Lakshmi today, but she was the one who took care of him after the glass incident. She was the one who had always been there for him..she was the one who has been completely loyal to him..loved him with all her heart..and he was going to break it for a girl who was playing with him.
Rishi threw everything in his room in frustration, and now his room reflected the mess his heart was. Rishi felt tired..he sat down in his messy room and cried.
Lakshmi was restless after the incident, and could feel Rishi was angry with her, and the glass breaking was no accident. She called him, but after a few rings, it was picked by Malishka. Malishka was waiting for this opportunity.

It was almost 9pm, but Lakshmi was still restless. Her chacha called her to have dinner, but all she could think was Rishi.

Thinking so, she rushed to reach Oberoi mansion. By the time she reached, everyone had had their dinner and left for their rooms. Lakshmi tip-toed to reach Rishi's room, to check on him. She just wanted to see him, and leave.
She took a breath of relief after seeing Rishi lying on the bed. She went beside him, brushed through his hair softly. Tears welled up in her eyes seeing Rishi blood stained bandage. She quietly cried touching his hand, and then, in a moment of courage, planted a kiss on his forehead. She then gathered herself to take a leave, when she was suddenly pulled and in a split second, she was on the bed, and Rishi was on top of her.
Lakshmi was shocked to see Rishi awake. This means he was awake throughout, her face coloured red with embarrassment.
Rishi: what are you doing here? Why are you crying for me when you love that Varun?
Lakshmi was aghast..she tried pushing him away..but to no avail.
Rishi hato mere upar se, please!
Rishi held her hands with one of his hand on top of her head to prevent her from squirming.
Answer me Lakshmi! He roared, quit playing games with me!

And what about the way you are hurting me! When I saw you with Varun, i felt someone has stabbed in my heart! Can't you see you are hurting me too!
Lakshmi stilled hearing this, and seeing tears in Rishi's eyes.
I was just meeting Varun to say that i can't marry him, but he was in such a good mood, i didn't get the courage to say it. He is good friend, but that is it!

I was going to, but the reason was you! I wanted to push you away! I know I am just a phase for you, just a confused feeling for you, and when that evaporates, you will go back to Malishka.
Rishi touched his forehead to hers, and quietly took in her smell.
I love you Lakshmi, and I know you love me! Let us not fight it anymore. I am tired, and i know so are you! Let us accept it, atleast tonight.
Lakshmi could feel tears swell up in her eyes..she closed it for a second, feeling Rishi's heartbeat against her.

"I love you Lakshmi" Rishi said, and captured her mouth for a kiss. Lakshmi was taken by surprise, but soon she started responding to the kiss, making it one the most passionate kiss they have had. Rishi's hands travelled to her hairs, pulling her to him, deepening his kiss even more.
Lakshmi could feel crackers exploding in her stomach, and had a weird sensation between her legs. It was as if she was free falling from a height. She held rishi tight as if she will fall.
