Chapter 3: The Outside World

In one place on a gigantic land mass, the sun shines brightly above the clouds and it shares its striking heat amongst all it conquers by its rays. Due to its heat and bright sunshine, it seems it is noon time right now, the time when all people are active and awake to do their respective activities in life, just exactly what the people are doing right now in one gigantic city of the land underneath the blazing sun. This is no ordinary city, because it is an empire state city filled with tall skyscrapers that reaches the clouds way above sky, in which it inhabits the coastline of the land. People who knows this place calls it Hamilton City, and this is the only city that keeps this place up and running.

In this only metropolis, this is the only place that has noises in every directions, like voices of all the people living here, honks and streams of wind coming from the bustling vehicles passing by on each roads, pounding of tools made by the construction workers on such buildings that are on progress, crash, bash, bam, all you can hear are noises. But beyond those noises, in one corner of the city, a peaceful cathedral exists in this loud place.

The cathedral is very old looking if observed on every nook and crany of the place, but it does not mean that it is in no good shape, because even if it has aged for so many years, its beauty still remains, and those beauties compose of gothic decorations, monuments, arcs, pillars, doors, stained glass windows, and a whole lot more, and all of it is surely a work of art. In fact, with all its beauty, it seems that the structure has been preserved very well, despite the fact that it has aged for so long.

The reason behind it is because it has been taken care off since the first time the cathedral was introduced to the public decades ago up till now, and of course, it has been done by the people who has lived in this place from the past up to the present, for them to ensure its beauty to remain, and to ensure that it is still intact for centuries to come, for the younger generations to appreciate the place and build their own faith in God Nidlros, through their hearts and soul in this lovely place.

With that being said, this cathedral is the only place where all the peace and harmony of the people are taking place, in which here it lies a peaceful life of a huge family who shares their blessings and compassion to one another. But these people are not a family by blood, but they are a grand family of strangers, sharing their life here with ease as brothers and sisters. And all of this fellowship will not be a possibility without the hardships of the people who have lived and served here, especially the head priests of this cathedral from the past up to the present.

After long years of serving the citizens of the city and Nildros, their tradition never changes, even if they are now living in the modern era. Because on their daily duties, they are still taking good care of the place, runs the holy masses everyday, and keeping the holiness and embodiment of the God of this sacred place intact, for the people to see and feel the divine spirit of the Lord, and these duties are accepted voluntarily by them.

At this point, they are all over the place with their respective tasks and objectives, but there is some who is not that busy at all, and one of them is just gazing upon the beauty of the place and the city outside, like one person sitting beside on one window of the cathedral.

He is a man with a short and curly black hair who wears an outfit that obviously portrays his position here in this sacred place. Because with his white cotton coat that extends underneath his knees, his green sweater underneath the coat, his black pants, black shoes, his pair of eye glasses, and his rosary-like necklace that has a crucifix as its pendant, it is surely vivid that he is a priest of this cathedral. But unlike most priests in the world, he is one of the young ones in the institution, which are few in numbers these days, and he seems to be a foreigner due to his tan complexion that differs from the usual complexion of the citizens here. But regardless of that, he is a legitimate priest and a worthy one to be in his current position.
