The Slug Club Christmas party was supposed to be an event that would garner the connections that Professor Slughorn needed to make but also flaunt himself off to everyone that would look in his direction. To make it easy to understand, it was everything that Draco practically lived and breathed. He knew exactly who he was going to bring and how he was going to become the highlight of the night.
"YOU LITERALLY ALWAYS COME WITH ME?!" Draco screeched, pulling Pansy by her hips to the girls dormitory.
"WELL NOT ANYMORE!" she yelled, hands gripping against the common room fountain whilst most of the younger Slytherins watched in general fear and confusion. The older Slytherins and most of Draco's friends were snickering. "I can't!" she said, her grip tightened that Draco could see the way her pale fingers seemed to redden as her skin stretched over her knuckles.
"WELL I CAN'T BE ABANDONED!" he argued, wrapping his arms around her waist and lifting the bottom half of her body from the floor. Draco was already in his lilac coloured robes. There were white snowflakes embroidered all over his body and clustered specifically by his wrists and waist area. His bloody outer robes matched with Pansy's dainty and lacey Christmas dress. They always matched together, in clothing and general snide remarks they'd make on everyone else.
"I can't," she whispered, letting go of the fountain for the both of them to flop on the ground and muck up Draco's robes.
Millie snorted, waving her wand over the both of them and with a quick scourgify they were rid of any mess.
Draco staggered back up into a standing position and narrowed his eyes at Pansy, "why?" he whined.
"Because."
"That's not a good excuse," he said, watching how Pansy righted her veil and then sigh tiredly before taking it off. Almost every Slytherin had seen her face and knew that any remarks or uncomfortable staring would get a hex to the face. Draco had a grand time learning how to perform the jelly-leg jinx non verbally. It was really one of his top ten most proudest achievements.
"It's enough of an excuse," Pansy said, lying on the ground instead of taking Draco's offered hand. He decided to comb his newly dyed hair, it was still a dark brown, but more chocolatey. Enough that it was definitely lighter than Theo's now. It worked with the lilac robes, afterwards, he'd ask Maya for a darker shade.
"It's alright," Millie said, snickering as she went to lie on the ground beside Pansy. "We'll just chill here together. Two girls, lying on the cold floor, sharing trauma stories together."
"Fuck," Draco whispered. "I'd kind of like to do that now."
"Well tough shit Draconis," Theo said, opening the door that led to the boys dormitories and walking in wearing a transfigured version of Pansy's dress.
"Whaaaaaa—" Blaise said, eyes wide as he stared at Theo's lithe form.
Draco blinked, watching the way Theo gracefully walked up to the rest of the group. "Theo..." he whispered, "you look amazing."
"Yeah," Greg said, squinting his eyes at the dark haired boy. "I didn't know you were going."
"I'm Draco's plus one," Theo shrugged, walking past Pansy and Millie who were watching with interest. Draco let Theo link their arms together, giving his best friend a supporting smile. Theo did look nice. Pansy's skirt was transfigured into high-waisted trousers that cinched his waist. Her top was turned into a men's high collared shirt and fitted him nicely, leaving a strip of his skin visible if he jostled too much.Draco arched his brow, placing his arm just where his shirt stopped and trouser started, "You are showing too much skin!"
Theo playfully rolled his eyes and held up Pansy's outer robe, shouldering it on whilst he changed the sizing with a quick charm. "We look good in lilac."
