Somewhere in the desert.

The sun calmly shined abroad the desolate rocks of the desert. As in every time, it was quiet and sunny.

Somewhere here was a kryptonian who had exiled himself. Shortly after a defeat.

Superwoman landed on top of a cliff, as to approach a figure who sat on the edge of that cliff. She had not approached him for these whole three years straight.

And yet, she initiated the conversation.
"General?" She said.

The man spared no response.

Athin took a few steps closer. "Approaching you as the daughter of your fallen former colleague Jor-El. You helped my father through various crises throughout Krypton's history, and I merely wish to ask for your cooperation to the matter at hand." She said.

Zod turned back at her, rather slowly. Face riddled with a mustache and a beard. His dark hairs flowed in the wind.

"Which is . . . ?" He asked.

"Would it be possible for me to ask you questions regarding a murder in an otherwise foreign kryptonian space vessel?" She asked.

Zod stood up and faced her head-on.

"Murder? In a ship?" Zod said.

"That is correct, General. The corpse is that of Lex Luthor. He was the former CEO of Lexcorp, and a wanted fugitive." She said.

"I have never heard of him." Zod said.

"Someone seems to have crushed his skull, General. Signs point to one with same strength as us." She said.

"You can drop the formalities with me now, Ari-El." Zod smirked. "I was defeated. Not one bit am I even a general any longer."

"I see." Athin said.

"So I am a suspect?" Zod said.

"Merely a suspect." Athin said.

"Like I would have any interest in stepping on a human pest." Zod said.

"They're not pests." Athin said.

"If you say so." Zod said.

Athin looked around. "I honestly didn't expect to find you here." She said.

"I like to feel the sun in my face, that is all." Zod said as he walked down from the cliff. Athin followed.

"Hear me now, though. I do believe there is someone amidst us on this planet." Zod said.

"You do?" Athin said.

"One of my loyal lieutenants. Zeta-Rho." Zod said.

"Not sure if I recall him." Athin said.

"Just that he always stuck with me in battle. Quiet but calculating, was Zeta."
"When you and Kal-El defeated us years ago. He followed me during my exile." Zod said.

"Atleast you had company." Athin said.

"Other than that. What have you been doing on Earth for three years? How come you never left? Never - - - thought of revenge or anything?" She added.

"Nothing, Ari-El." Zod said.

"Seriously? 'Nothing'?" Athin said, confused.

"Just . . . nothing." Zod said. "All this time. Ever since my defeat. I'd thought about what your father told me right after I . . . stabbed him in the heart."

Athin was left unfazed.

"I was angry. Hellbent. All I cared about was Krypton's pride and glory. As I fought and killed him for it, he told me: You shall see in the end if this was all worth it."He said.
