Run away
(3rd person POV)
Y/N just smirked at the man they once called father, "Did you think THAT was going to affect me? Did you actually think I loved you two?" Y/N said with a laugh. They looked as if they were going to say 'How dare you speak to your parents that way' but then realized that saying that wasn't going to work anymore. "So this is why you favored the twins over me?" Y/N said. He reminisced on all the memories he shared with Emmet and Ella. Well, mostly Emmet, only because Ella was a brat. But it all made sense now, why they favored them over him once they were born, why they became harsh on him once Y/N went into college, and why they never let him go out, or even let him partake in their elaborate parties. Y/N was adopted, and he was glad about it. They knew it, even before they outright said it because Y/N looked nothing like them.
(Your POV)
I flipped off my adoptive parents then stomped up to my tiny room in the attic, and started packing. Snacks, water, some medical supplies, a blanket, some clothes, and then just threw my trusty bow in there with some arrows, because why the hell not. I also put something in there so I can light fires. (how else will you cook the meat you hunt?) Then I went over to my closet and picked up a box, I never really opened it since my 18th birthday. It was sent to me without a return address, so I thought it was a bomb. So here I am, about to open a strange box. The box's side said 'Open when you want to go on an adventure' so it sounded perfect for this. I opened the box, and inside was a yellow, almost golden, scarf. I took it out of the box and put it on, but then I noticed something else in that box. I pulled it out and was surprised by a sheathed hoe (the one you use for farming, not for fun) attached to a chain. I unsheathed it, looking at its purple-ish black blade. "A kusarigama?" I mumbled to myself, "I've trained with one, but never owned one..." I sheathed it, and put it into my bag. I went downstairs, and was about to leave, when Ella stopped me, dragging Emmet with her.
"Well well well" she started in her annoying voice, "Look at the gay boy."
I rolled my eyes, "Get the fuck out of my way, brat, I don't have time for your childish games." Emmet just looked at me with apologies. I just pat his head, "Stay strong, Em, I'll see you around..." I said, giving him a quick hug before leaving. Running off of the mansion's property as fast as I could
Wow, I did not expect to write today, considering that not many people read this, but I hope you enjoyed it.
