Riley's POV:It was summer, and the day we are driving to the Wisconsin Dells. Rachel was driving separate, with her parents, along with my parents. They were driving separate, too. I rode with Christian, and Luke wanted to stay home, because he's always boring like that. On the way there, Rachel and I texted back and fourth, because we had nothing else to do besides listen to music. We were the caboose, because we followed Rachel and her family who was following my parents because we didn't know the directions.
It took about an hour and a half before we reached the Dells, and then another twenty minutes added to get to our hotel. When we reached the hotel, we met in the lobby to check in. Once we did so, we went to our rooms. We all had three rooms; (1) for my mom and Rachel's mom (2) for my dad, Rachel's dad, and Christian, and (3) me and Rachel. I would of let Christian share our room with us, but the parents disagreed. Once Rachel and I got settled in, we put our swimsuits on, then put a tee and shorts all on top. We weren't for sure we were going to go swimming, but we had our suits on just in case.
We met up again in the lobby at 12:00, then headed out for Mt. Olympus. It took about ten minutes to get there, plus another five to wait in line and et our wristbands. We had a deal on tickets, so we got both the theme park, and the pool area. I knew the park inside and out, because this is the third time I've been here this year. The first time, I went with most of the sixth grade; we earned it for being on safety patrol, to keep kids safe. And the second time I went with my mom, she had deals that the, also.
When we got in, I rushed to my favorite ride, Hades. Hades 360 to be exact. It went underground; pitch black. It was super fast too. It did two 360's; one underground, and outside. The line was long, unlike when I went with my grade, you could run right up the steps and walk onto the roller coaster. It took about twenty minutes until I hopped in with Rachel. It was worth the wait; it was every time. You started with a drop off, then at lightning speed, went down into a tunnel, came out, did a 360, went under ground, did another 360.... And a lot more. It was by far my favorite ride in the park.
When I was just about to enter the pool area, I saw an amazing thing that I wanted to go on; it was called the catapult. You sat in a cylinder barred object, and you went flying fast up in the air. I wanted to do it, but sadly, it costed $20 extra:
"You wanna do it, don't ya?" Christian asked me.
"Well, yeah, duh."
"Well then let's do it."
"What?!"
"Here," he said, pulling two twenties out of his pocket, "let's do it."
I was happy and smiling, I couldn't believe he was going to do this with me, especially with his fear of heights. He handed the cashier the money, then he strapped us into the circular barred object.
"Are you serious?" I asked him.
"Hey, I'm dead serious."
"You do know that we get shot at least one hundred feet in the air, right?"
"What?" He said, "Bullshit. Look at the-" Christian looked at the sign sticking out of the ground near us, that read: THIS RIDE IS SHOT UP AT LEAST 100 FEET IN THE AIR. IF YOU HAVE BREATHING PROBLEMS OR IF YOU ARE PREGNANT, OR THINK YOU ARE PREGNANT, DO NOT RIDE.
"Uh..." He said. "Sir! Sir!" He yelled to the cashier, "I'm pregnant! I'm pregnant!"
The man shook his head in disbelief and like that, launched us in the air. I felt a large breeze go across my face, and then, looking down, I could see the whole park of Mt. Olympus. It was beautiful, especially with all the dollar coasters going. Then we dropped, and went back up again. Christian was screaming, but screaming like he was happy. "Fuck yeah!" He yelled. "WOO HOO!!"
I laughed, and yelled along with him. We stopped bouncing about thirty seconds later, the. The technician lowered us down and we got off. I felt nausea as I walked to open the gate. Christian, on the other hand, looked as happy as a dog getting a treat. "That was awesome!" He yelled at me, "we need to do that again!"
"How about we take a break, bud."
We did so, went on more rides, went to the pool, and ate lunch. At the end of the day, we left. It was sad leaving a place you loved so much, especially if you enjoyed it. We went to a china Buffet after ward, then went back to our hotel. And sooner or later, we all fell asleep.
