Riley's POV:So for the next three months, it was summer. Rachel came over a couple days later and started planning for the summer. We decided that we'd go to the Wisconsin Dells and do a bunch of cool stuff, like Mt. Olympus and Wizard's Quest and Ripley's Believe It Or Not! Mt. Olympus was on the top of our list; we were definitely doing that. We had the money, from the speeches and stuff, so we surely had enough. Christian would come along with us, of course. He'd have to be the one driving us because our parents wanted to stay out of it.
When we got done planning, we decided that it would be about a month from now, because of softball. Rachel and I loved softball, we've been doing it since we were toddlers. We started out how everyone starts out. Not. So. Well. We soon advanced and got better. When we were in fifth grade, Rach and I dreamed of being professional softball players. But, I now know, that probably won't happen unless we were very, very skilled.
Our first softball game, was next Friday, a week from now. Christian, who also loved baseball as a kid, loved pitching. He was good at it. So on Wednesdays and Sundays, Rachel, Christian and I went to the batting cage in the back of the high school, and Christian pitched. I'm glad Christian loved baseball as much as we did, or else we wouldn't of had enough practice time.
We got as much practice we could fit into the week, and our coaches, Mrs. Grassel and Mrs. Trumm, pushed us to do our best. And I liked that. I learned a lot from them, and my Tae Kwon Do instructor.
Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday passed, then came Friday; game day. Our first game of the season, which we were gonna win. I was positive.
