another MHA angst story

PT 2: growing closer

(ok fair warning guys, Pt 2 of the story is going to be really short. I like the stopping point it's coming to and it's in a positive place and I don't wanna add too too much more, so get ready for this story to be finished soon. Thanks for the patience through the hiatus!)

One month after returning from the psych ward:

Izuku was back in school and he was flourishing. He raised his hand in class. He did homework with his friends. He talked to people in his class he'd barely ever heald a conversation with before.

Even Bakugo commented that he seemed happier.

He was able to reach out to Aizawa and Mic on his harder days and he was a whopping 3 months clean.

Over the past months he and Todoroki had grown a lot closer, they hadn't been doing much relationship stuff, but they had gotten to know eachother much better.

One day, while they were hanging out, laying on Todoroki's bed, watching a movie, Izuku said something todoroki didn't expect.

"Hey, so I really like you and you know that but I also know we never talked about making our relationship official or anything, we just kissed one day and then my mental health got really shitty and then- what I'm trying to say is I can do better. And I'm gonna be better because I feel better. And as my better self I wanna ask you officially if you will be my boyfriend?" Izuku asked while they both stared up at the ceiling.

Todoroki rolled over to face Izuku, then Izuku rolled over to face todoroki.

Todoroki's smile was so sweet and genuine. (And in Izuku's opinion, kissable)

"Yes I'll be your boyfriend dummy." Todoroki teased.

"May I have a kiss then please?" Izuku asked jokingly, puffing out his lips, both of them still laying down. Todoroki rolled over on top of Izuku and pressed their mouths together.

Izuku was surprised, and it took his heart a minute to settle. He quickly engaged in the kiss and leaned closer to Todoroki's face. After a few minutes of this they had shifted to sitting upright. Izuku began to kiss Todoroki's neck.

He could hear Todoroki breathing softly next to him. Izuku moved to kiss him slightly higher, closer to behind his ear. He stopped when Todoroki started giggling, "that tickles!"

Izuku smiled and went back to the spot, Todoroki was laughing uncontrollably. Eventually Izuku stopped and leaned close to Todoroki's face, "your laugh is the cutest thing ever."

Todoroki grinned wide and then leaned forward just a bit and kissed Izuku on the lips. Todoroki's hands found their way not to Izuku's waist, but to his hair and neck.

Izuku smiled through the kiss and reached behind him to grab one of Todoroki's hands. They interlocked fingers and kissed deeper.

Then there was a knock on their door that niether of them heard. They were absorbed in eachother, entranced. But they did hear the door creak open, and stopped mid kiss.

Izuku looked over, still sitting in Todoroki's lap in an unmistakably homosexual way, and saw Kirishima looking shell shocked.

"Uh- dinner. Dinner is ready." He said awkwardly before closing the door and leaving.

Izuku got up quickly and ran out after him, "Kirishima! Kirishima! Come back-"
