Dib stared at Zim. Then he realized he left Gir in the tote bag.
"Oh I'm sorry. Here let me help you" Dib said sadly as he picked up Gir and put him into the tank with Zim.
"Thanks Mary" Gir said, while swimming around in a circle
Dib gasped in shock. "D-did that thing just talk?" Dib thought.
" uh um, I. Im just gonna go to bed." Dib said with a sigh. "And hopefully Zim will be up tomorrow" he whispered .
"Maaaarry I want food. Im hungry. Im gonna scream, I like screaming"
"Please don't scream, this is a secret" Dib looked around. He picked up a can of fish food and threw it in the tank. " go to town"

Time skip, - it's now midnight
Dib couldn't sleep. I mean how could he? His new soon to be best friend was probably dead or something. And it was all his fault, according to dib anyway. Dib decided he shouldn't just sit on the floor, so he went down stairs to get some string cheese. And a late night cereal.
"Haha, i should watch a soap opera or something" laughed dib self depreciatingly. As dib grabbed his cheese out the fridge he heard something.
"Zim" dib whispered excitedly.
"Zim. Who is that dib. Are you sneaking someone in your room?"
It was gaz. Dib's younger sister.
"What are you doing up gaz?!" Dib whispered aggressively
"What does it matter" she whispered back as she headed for the door.
"Where are you going"
" to the bowling alley with some friends, duh. Then I'm gonna go get wings"
"But you can't-"
"You don't tell dad about me going out, I don't tell about whoever is in your room" gaz said with a smirk as she left
(Gaz is 17 and dib is 18)
"Stupid gaz" Dib groaned.
" Great. Now she thinks I'm sleeping with someone" Dib thought.
*thunk*
"What was that" Dib whispered to himself
Dib ran back up to his room and went to his aquarium.
"ZIM! You're ok!!! I can't believe it!" Dib said ecstatically
"I suppose my secret is out the bag-"
" dude, you told me your dream was to learn about the human world"
"SUSH DIB-STINK! You now know my true identity. I want your help... so I can... learn."
"Sure! But you gotta teach me about your world too!" Said Dib with a smile
"Ok..."
"Let's shake on it"
