2 days later
He was waiting for her at the lakeside but she never came.
He tried reaching her but it was unreachable so finally, after waiting for 3 hours he came back and directly went to the girl's hostel.
There he asked for Akshu's friend. He had never talked to her directly but today he needed to know about her whereabouts.
Abhimanyu: Hey Naina, have you seen Akshu today? Did she come to attend classes?
Naina:Umm yes she was there...Kyu Kya hua ?
Abhimanyu: Do you have her other contact no?
Naina: No I'm sorry
Abhimanyu: She is not replying to me ...God knows what's wrong with her.
Naina: Abhimanyu I hope you came to know what happened between your father and Akshara before you left
Abhi didn't know what happened. When he returned Harsh informed him Akshara left as her Aai was calling her for lunch.
She narrated half incident of how Harshvardhan broke her guitar but she didn't know about the conversation between them.
He was shocked to know how his father misbehaved with Akshara and he could do nothing for her. Now he understood what she was trying to do for the past 2-3 days.
Abhimanyu tried to contact her again but her no. was switched off so he decided to go and check in her flat. When he reached, it was locked and when he enquired, the security guard told him that the owner had shifted from here to some other place last week.
He was hurt after listening to this but he couldn't blame her because he knew Akshara was having a rough time when she joined college. She wanted to meet her family but due to some reason, she couldn't she spent her days practicing and attending lectures.
The last option he had was her flat as she never shared her family's information with anyone and the name he knew was Akshara Kartik so he tried searching but failed.
Months passed and he tried attending music therapy sessions and programs in the city in hope that she would bump somewhere. His degree also came to end and he moved to Udaipur after searching for her for 1.5 years.
Present
"Sir ne tumse kya kaha tha Akshu? "
She looked into his eyes for a long moment then replied
"Neeche Mehendi hai tumhari Abhimanyu meri Behen Aarohi ke sath tumhe jana chahiye," she said ignoring his question
Before he could say anything someone knocked on the door
He went to check and it was Nishtha
Nishtha informed him " Bhaiya sab bula rahe hain Neil Bhaiya bhi agaye chalo jaldi" and she dragged him to come downstairs with her
Before leaving Abhimanyu turned and gave a confident smile to her which confused Akshara.
She just gave a reality check to him and now he is smiling
"Has he moved on? If yes good for him and Aarohi" She answered the question herself but somewhere it hurt her too because she could never move on from him.
Next day
Akshara woke up with a headache but she had to report to her senior today so she quickly got ready and headed downstairs.
Kairav was urgently asking to change the name of the bridegroom to the wedding planner and replace it with Neil in upcoming functions.
Akshara wasn't aware of the incident of last evening yet.
She was angered listening to this but anyways left to report to her senior and decided to meet Abhimanyu to question him about why he backed out at the last moment.
After 2 hours
Akshara reached Birla Hospital and enquired the receptionist
"Dr. Abhimanyu Birla Kahan milenge?"
"Ma'am he is busy in surgery but he will be free in 20 min you can wait in his cabin" responded the receptionist. The receptionist didn't question her coz she was clad in her uniform and Akshara Goenka was engraved on her nameplate
Goenka's one of the trustees of the hospital and soon both families were going to become in-laws.
She hmmed in response so she directed her to Abhimanyu's cabin
20 Min later
Abhimanyu was tired due to the long surgery. He entered the room rubbing an ice pack on his neck
He was surprised to see Akshara sitting there in his Cabin but she didn't notice him coming inside because she was too engrossed in reading a journal related to Music therapy.
He cleared his throat to seek her attention and finally, she looked up at him
"Akshu tum yaha Kaise? Tum thik ho na?" he questioned
"Main yaha? Tumne jo kal kiya hai uske baad kahan hona chahiye mujhe? Tumne Aarohi se shadi karne se mana kardiya aur apni jagah Neil aur Aarohi ke Rishta fix kardiya? Seriously? Tum aysa kaise kar sakte ho?" Akshara blasted at him
Abhi muttered "Hayee" under his breath
It was just a whisper but Akshara could easily understand what he said
She noticed he was just listening to her not understanding what she was saying
She tried composing her anger and called him " Abhimanyu"
He again hmmed with a smile too busy staring at the lovely face of his girl
" Tum sun rahe ho main kya bol rahi hun?"
"Hnn sun raha hun bolti raho" he replied without blinking.
He was mesmerized to see beauty in uniform.
"Dr. Abhimanyu Birla," she said loudly to bring Abhimanyu out of reverie
"Mhmm .....hnn Tum bolo main sun ho toh raha that," He said composing himself
"Tumne kyu Kiya aysa?" She repeated herself again
"Neil aur Aarohi pasand karte hain ek dusre ko...Un dono ko realise nahi hua aur jab hua Rishta already fix ho chuka tha isliye mene rishta tod diya...Kuch Galat kiya??"
Akshara didn't know how to react. She simply tried to absorb the new piece of information. Her sister liked Neil then she recalled Aarohi running to check upon Neil..her restlessness to see him.
There was an awkward silence in the room.
Abhimanyu broke the silence "Tumhare sawal ka jawab toh mene dediya Akshu...Tum mere sawal ka jawab kab dogi?"
"Un baaton ka koi Matlab nahi hai ab" saying this Akshara moved towards the door.
He was quick enough to grab her hand before she could leave "Kaise matlab nahi hai? Kab tak nahi bataogi? Sir ne Tumse kya kaha tha jiske baad tumne Dosti rakhna toh door Ek goodbye bolne bhi zaruri nahi samjha?" questioned Abhimanyu
Her eyes were moist listening to his complaints and seeing the helplessness on his face.
Abhimanyu grabbed her hand properly and checked "Akshu tumhe fever hai?"
Akshara was surprised by his sudden mood change. A few seconds back he was complaining and now he is concerned but one thing was the same.
His love for her.
"Hmmm Haan halka sa fever hai thik ho jayega...Mujhe jana hai"
"Chali Jana... Par Pehle yeh medicine kha kar Jao". He gave her a glass of water with medicine.
She was holding door knob when Abhimanyu determinedly said " Dhyan rakhna Apna... Aur jis sawaal se tum bhaag rahi ho Uska jawab ab Sir denge".
