It was their engagement day finally
Abhimanyu woke up at 5 am, well actually he couldn't sleep due to excitement. It was the first function of their wedding.
He went and knocked on the door Harsh-Manjiri's room.
"Maa- Sir 5 baj gaye uthiye!" he knocked it again but this time louder.
Both woke up in with a jolt due to loud banging on the door.
"Yeh subah subah kya hua Abhimanyu ko chalo dekhte hain" spoke Harsh getting off his bed.
"Haan chaliye" replied Manjiri following him.
They opened the door and saw Abhimanyu standing there with a pout.
"Aap dono late uthe hain...Aaj meri engagement hai" whined Abhimanyu.
They looked at each other suppressing their smiles.
"Abhi hum late kaise Hume toh koi jaga hua nahi lag raha hai ..." said Manjiri with a questioning look.
"Haan Kahan gaye sab?" Harsh seconded her.
"Aap dono hi late uthe hain mene kisi ko jagaya hi nahi abhi tak 10 min se gate knock kar raha hun" answered Abhimanyu cutely.
"Chal hum help karte hain uthane main sabko" spoke Manjiri and dragged Abhimanyu with her.
Harsh looked at her and she just signaled him to follow them.
They stood in front of Neil's room.
Abhimanyu knocked on his door loudly and a sleepy Aarohi opened the door yawning.
"Kya hua Jiju?" she questioned trying to keep her eyes open.
"Tum dono Abhi tak so rahe ho...Late ho jaoge" stated Abhimanyu coming inside the room.
"Late???" questioned Aarohi looking at him moving inside.
"Haan engagement hai meri Aaj " spoke Abhimanyu looking at Aarohi and Neil simultaneously.
" Bhai aapki engagement Shaam ko 5 baje hai subah nahi" replied Neil from his bed without opening his eyes.
"Haan aur isliye toh main night shift karke ayi hun na Jijuuu" answered annoyed Aarohi feeling sleepy.
"Aarohi Bhai ko neend ki goli deke 3-4 ghante sula do Warna yeh sabko jaga denge" suggested Neil while getting up and sitting on the bed.
"Jaga denge nahi jaga diya" announced Harsh and Manjiri coming inside the room.
"Aap dono bhi uth gaye?" asked Aarohi seeing them up in the early morning.
"Uth gaye nahi uthaya hai kisi ne" said Manjiri and pulled Abhimanyu's ear.
"Beta shaam ko hai engagement 5 baje ...abhi subah ke 5 baje hain koi late nahi hoga hum sab time par ready ho jayenge" assured Harsh.
"Pakka??" questioned Abhimanyu looking at their faces.
"Pakka" replied all four of them in chorus and smiled.
In the evening Birla's reached Goenka House and the function started. Akshara came downstairs with Aarohi in a Pale Pink colored lehenga which coordinated well with Abhimanyu's beige-colored sherwani.
Neil stood in the middle of the hall and announced "Kyuki mere bhaiya ko engagement ki jaldi hai...we have planned a game for him to make it more interesting. Bhai ko Akshara ki ring plate main rakhi laddo main se dundhni hogi aur jis bhi mithai ko hath main lenge use pura khana padega aur Akshara ko yeh chit main likhe clue se dundhna hai ring..."
