I walked down the dark sidewalk to the gas station without a care in the world. Many people have told me to never walk along the road to there, especially at night.
They say a ghost lurks around the area. A girl in white to to be precise.
The people who have said to have seen her appears to be somewhat a resemblance to the ring. White clothing and pitch black hair. Hell, some people even think that it is the ring.
Some people say that she had somehow escaped the tv and now her ghost roams free.
I don't care what anybody says, ghost aren't real. I have never believed in the supernatural or any kind of magic or demonics. Not even spirits.
There's no such thing.
People who say that they have seen her has no evidence. No pictures, no videos, nothing. Their all lying just to get attention. It's probably just another urban legend that has sparked up again and gotten popular.
I shook my head as the sight of the gas station came into view.
"Yeah right. People are so guilable these days." I said.
The ring of the bell went off as I entered the store. I came here for one thing and that was snacks. My collection of chips, cookies, and juices were getting painfully low.
I grabbed a basket and stocked up on my favorites, some consisting of hot cheetos, Hawaiian punch, and oreos. After I was satisfied I walked up to the checkout area and placed my things onto the counter so the cashier could scan them.
As he was done scanning the items he bagged them, and I had 3 bags in total, which isn't that bad considering the last time I was here I had a whole cart full.
As I fished out my wallet to pay for the items the cashier spoke.
"Did you come out here alone?" He asked, almost worriedly.
I looked at him as I raised brow.
"Uh, yes? Why?" I asked.
He shook his head disapprovingly.
"You shouldn't have done that. The ghost always goes for the ones that are alone." He sighed.
I frowned. It almost sounded like he felt sorry for me.
"Have you even seen the ghost?" I questioned.
He shook his head.
"No, but I heard the stories. Her kidnapping the ones that dared to walk alone, and draining people's energy to create dark manifestations. Your in some deep trouble."
"Sure. Just base things of of whaybyou heard. Nobody has actual real evidence of any damn ghost that's been lurking here. Ghost don't even exist!" I exclaimed.
I was getting tired of this fucking game. So many people tell lies, and the ones who are gullible enough believe them, and now there's a whole ass neighborhood that's completely scared to even go oit st might because of this stupid prank.
The cashier stared at me, almost with pity as he handed me my bags.
"Good luck out there." He mumbled.
I took my bags and quickly left the store in anger.
"What the fuck is wrong with people nowadays." I huffed.
I continued my journey back home down the long dark sidewalk. I cool breeze flowed through the air, making the tress and bushes shiver in the wind.
I rubbed my arms as it got chills around my body.
It wasn't this cold when I first came out here.
I quickened my pace as the wind grew stronger, it made a sharp shriek noise at it cut through the air. I closed my eyes as my hair blew into my face. Not paying attention to where I was going I tripped over something, causing me to hit the cold concrete ground.
"Fuck!" I exclaimed.
I used my arms to catch myself, but thay resulted to then getting all scratched up. I winced at the pain, and when I looked over to my right I had noticed that one of my bags had torn, I'm guessing from the fall.
"Fucking hell." I muttered.
I had thought about going back to the gas station to get another bag, but it would be such a waste if time as I was halfway back to my house.
"Need help?" A scratchy voice called out.
"Oh, um. Actually, yeah, I could use some-"
But I stopped mid-sentence as my mouth fell open on horror and my fave paled. Standing right infront of me was a girl, identical the the ghost that people described. And all white outfit with black hair covering her face.
I could only see I small portion of her face and one of her eyes. I would be taken away of her gorgeous her blue eyes was, if I wasn't so terrified.
I screamed as I crawled backwards, and I could've sworn I saw her flinch from my reaction.
"Oh my god, please don't hurt me!" I yelled.
She took a step closer to my cowering and shaking body.
"Now why would I do that?" She questioned.
"I-I've heard about you. What you do to people, and I don't want it happening to me. S-so just-please, don't hurt me." I cried.
"You heard?"
The girl made a noise, similar to a snort.
"Do you just go off of what you hear?" She asked.
I blinked rapidly, wondering why sje hasn't killed me yet and is talking to me like a normal person.
"Your all just the same." She mumbled.
And in a blink of an eye she was gone.
I didn't notice how heavily I was breathing until now. I head shit around as I looked at my surroundings.
She's gone.
I sighed out, in relief, but also in anxiousness. I had never been so terrified in my life
Was she real? Or did I just hallucinate?
~
It had been I week since and I still haven't forgotten my encounter with the black haired girl, I mean who would?
It was a terrifying experience that has been playing at the back on my mind on repeat.
