THIRD POV

HAWKINS was sunny, as per usual, with school starting off fresh with a new year which meant that all students— either old or new— were coming back to get their education. Or well, for Hawkins... it basically meant high schoolers fooling around, partying or being sexually frustrated.

Steve and Nancy both sat in the boy's car, finishing up their discussion when a loud car came revving up the road with loud music playing, catching everyone's attention.

The door opened, stepping out was a dirty blonde haired male in denim on denim, a cigarette between his fingers before placing it between his lips to take a drag.

Steve furrowed his brows as Nancy gawked a little. "Who is that...?" Questioned the girl, and in return her boyfriend scoffed. "Pft, looks like a show off to me."

SLAM

A loud smack on the roof of the car caused the two inside to scream out of surprise.

"JESUS!"

"Oh, sorry did I interrupt your make out session love birds?" Teased a voice.

Steve let out a sigh before a groan followed, "DUDE! I told you to stop hitting the roof of my car!" He knew that his best friend liked to wear rings time to time so whenever he did that, he was sure he'd be leaving a scratch or dent.

The other teen only shot him an easy-going smile, "Well seems like I should stop forgetting."

On the other hand he directed his blue eyes to his best friend's girlfriend and rested an arm on the roof of Steve's car, leaning down and gave her a wave, "Hey Nancy. Good to see you."

She gave him her trademark beautiful smile, and nodded, "I could say the same to you."

"Well anyway—" He broke eye contact with the girl and straightened his posture, playing with his silver lip ring with his pointer finger and thumb, he cocked a brow at the blue Camaro that quite literally zoomed in a minute ago. "Who's flashy car is that? The girls had their eyes practically oozing with hormones."

Steve shrugged at the question, "Beats me, man. Either way, are you coming to Tina's party?"

"Huh? How do you know she's got a party?"

"Vin, this is Steve we're talking about." Nancy voiced out, causing the dark haired male to nod his head with a 'true, true' falling along his lips.

The teen hummed before taking a few steps away, taking a glance back at the couple he shot them a mischievous smile, "Well I'll think about it. See ya later lovebirds." He gave them one last wave before turning his back on them, headings towards the doors of their high school.

Vinny Byers was friends with all sorts of people— he wasn't one to discriminate nor did he care about the difference between people. As long as he could chill with them, he was fine with having a conversation with them. He liked all sorts of people. After all, something or someone different usually meant interesting.

And he stood correct when he had met his little brother, Will's, best friends. He was sure in for a shit ton of surprises and adventure last year when they introduced eleven to him. Though it was inevitable, especially since Will went missing and the girl practically helped find the kid. He didn't really enjoy almost dying with Steve and Nancy though...

"Hey!" Came a feminine voice from behind him.

The male stopped in his tracks and craned his neck to see the girl he and Steve were talking about earlier— "Oh, Tina. I was just thinking about you."

The girl shot him a flirtatious smile and placed a hand on the male's chest. "Really now~?"

Vinny gave her a closed eye smile, head tilted down, a few of his gelled back bangs falling out of their place. "Not like that." He held a warning in his tone, yet remained with his kind smile. His words were sharp, a clear 'get your hand off' in his tone.

Tina huffed and backed off of him, "Well I just wanted to ask if you're able to come to my party today?"

'So Steve really did get the info before I did, huh?'

Vinny hummed a little, "Alright, but I'll show up a little late since I gotta watch my little brother for a bit." Though he knew that Jonathan would likely go with Will— he, like his mom and his brother, were worried.

Tina held back from commenting on the zombie brother of the attractive Byers. "Fine. Make sure to bring your guitar and stir up my party a little, would you, pretty boy?" Patting his cheek she smiled cheekily before walking away.

"If you say so." He grunted out, continuing to walk to his first period with his hand stuffed in his jean's pocket.

—^—

Vinny let out a sigh of relief as it was last day of the week— Friday? Friyay. School has always been tiring for him since he swears that his brain could not handle any fucking math. Whoever decided to add letters into math must really hate teens and kids.

When the dark haired male exited the building, he saw his younger brother— "Jonathan! Hey, how was classes today?" He smiled.

"It was alright, I guess." He shrugged. The teen patted him on the shoulder, "Almost a senior, hang in there, yeah?" Vinny encouraged him only to have a sigh from his younger brother. Jonathan could never understand how Vinny was related to him and Will. Compared to the oldest— Vinny held so much confidence and charisma you would never have guessed he was related to the two quiet boys.

As the two Byers brothers talked, another pair of deep blue ocean eyes stared at them.

A cigarette rested between his lips, exhaling the smoke from his nose as he leaned against his car. His eyes were specifically focused on the Byers dressed in the black leather jacket and white shirt.

His dark hair was gelled back, but a few strands of his bangs were loose from it and fell in front of his face. The guy's eyes were a blue as well, but brighter than Billy's own— and hell the shit even had a lip ring and nice cheekbones.

Billy heard of the guy even though it was his first day here he already made shit tons of connections, as his good looks and charms won nearly everyone over. So it was inevitable he would be told about Vinny Byers. Along with his best friend— 'King' Steve Harrington.

Competition.

Vinny separated from his brother, insisting he head to get Will since he rode his motorcycle to school. Jonathan headed towards his car— and the older Byers rubbed the back of his neck with a sigh as he tossed his leg over his bike.

The male's eyes flickered up, feeling a hard stare on him.

Sure enough— he met with ocean blue eyes.

Vinny felt a smirk pull at his lips before he gripped the handles, obviously challenging and mocking the new handsome male student with a gaze.

Billy clicked his tongue, "Fuckin' prick..." He grunted before the dark haired male rode off on his motorbike, the teen revving it as he passed by Billy.

Soon enough he heard a familiar sound of a skateboard hitting the ground, causing Billy to glance to the side.

"You're late." His tone was annoyed.

"Sorry... I had to get catch up work." His step-sister tried to reason, only for Billy to scoff.

"Jesus, I don't care. If you're late again you're skating home, got it?" Flicking his cigarette on the ground, he turned around and headed towards the driver seat of his car.

That damn Vinny Byers still in his mind, that annoying expression clear in his head.
