The distant chatter of people talking and rushing about in the hotel lobby was barely noticeable to Ingrid. All she could hear was the constant tapping of her fingers on the arm of the grey velvet sofa she was currently sitting in. Meticulously she checked her phone for some sort of message, anything sign of existence at all really. The only thing staring back at her however was the photo of her home screen, empty of any form of message or notice. The photo on her home screen was one she had taken the other day at the track when she had been hanging out with Patrick, Olivia and David. The four of them had quickly become a tight group and when there had been a short shower of rain Ingrid had managed to catch her three new friends laughing together in the rainy sunset over the circuit. It truly was a stunning picture, a perfect mixture of a beautiful sunset, rain pouring down and her friends having a good time and Ingrid felt very proud that she had managed to capture such a beautiful memory between the four of them.

Her three newfound friends had been questioning her rigorously all afternoon after having seen her chatting to Jenson in the paddock earlier today. Olivia especially had demanded answers, which Ingrid was hesitant to give her. She didn't want to give too much away, she was nervous enough about her upcoming date as it was. They had kept on pressuring her, but she hadn't caved in and after a few hours they had finally let the subject go, for now at least.

The upcoming date with Jenson that she had been so secretive and nervous about was however currently up in the air. It was fifteen minutes past 6.

Jenson was fifteen minutes late.

Ingrid felt ridiculously out of place, sat in the busy hotel lobby all dressed up ready for a night out in town whilst most people were still walking around in Formula 1 teamwear as most of the teams stayed at the hotel. She hadn't wanted to dress too spectacularly as Jenson still hadn't told her anything about his mysterious date plans, but she had still made a right effort as she had wanted to look her best for him.

As she restlessly twirled one of her blonde locks around her finger, Ingrid thought back on her stressful afternoon. As soon as she had arrived back from the track she had jumped into the shower faster than a chased rabbit and had made use of all the little amount of time she'd had to prepare herself. In the shower she had almost managed to sever her ankle, such had her stress been trying to desperately shave some hairs off her legs that barely existed in the first place. After the very quick shower she had spent at least half an hour debating which outfit to wear before finally settling on a flowy, sky blue summerdress that perfectly accentuated her best features whilst still being decent enough for just about any activity Jenson could potentially throw at her.

After deciding on an outfit she had spent way too long trying to perfect her makeup before curling her hair and choosing a pair of white sneakers for footwear as the only thing Jenson had told her about their date was to wear good shoes.

She had arrived in the lobby five minutes before their decided time, too nervous to stay in her own room for any longer as she would have probably started pondering over her dress decision, or made one too many changes of shoes and handbag. It was better to just get going, the problem with that thought was that Jenson still hadn't shown up.

He would show up, wouldn't he?

He had been going about their date with such excitement just hours earlier when they'd met in the paddock, and after all he had told her via text afterwards when they would meet up and where. He had planned it all out, that's what he'd told her. Surely he wouldn't just stand her up, right...right?

One more glance at her phone screen showed that it was now 20 minutes past 6. She had been waiting for about 25 minutes here in the gloomy and lonely hotel lobby.
