Chapter 9 - Wandering the Streets

"Oh my god, I'm so, so sorry. I didn't realise it was you behind me, I shouldn't have-"

"It's okay, I get it. I shouldn't have approached you like that, I'm sorry.", Sebastian grunted out before straightening his back and looking Ingrid in the face.

It was the first time they had seen each other since that night at the FIA gala, and it felt just as magical as that very first time. The electricity between them could not be ignored.

He looked as stunning as he had that evening at the FIA gala, he truly was one of the most handsome men Ingrid had ever seen in her life. The dishevelled look on his face and his appearance due to her forcefully slapping him just moments before made him look even hotter than usual. His unruly golden curls were falling over his face and he now had a burning red mark on his left cheek created by the force of her hand. His captivating blue eyes looked even more glorious under the Barcelona night sky. He looked like an angel sent from heaven, and even though she'd previously managed to convince herself that she wasn't going to have anything to do with him, she couldn't help but be transported to the moments they had shared at the gala a couple weeks back. She desperately wanted to experience those feelings again, because how could anyone turn this man down?

"You've got a wicked swing, did you know that? Who taught you to slap someone like that?", he expressed animatedly whilst gesturing around with his arms in the air. Sebastian tried to keep up the serious facade in front of her, but one of his trademark grins was slowly but steadily creeping onto his face. He had finally found who he'd been looking for all along.

During his dinner with some of the people from Red Bull he had noticed a couple of people from the paddock having dinner at another table further into the restaurant. At that moment in time he hadn't thought much about it, but then later that evening Ingrid had appeared in his vision just as she was leaving the restaurant.

As soon as he had seen her exiting the restaurant he had jumped out of his seat faster than a speeding bullet, given his co-workers a quick goodbye before grabbing his coat and storming out of the restaurant doors as quick as lightning. Fate had put them both in the same restaurant this evening and he was now thanking the stars above that they had led him back to her.

Sneaking up on her might not have been the best way to go about it though, as evident by the stinging feeling in his left cheek, but that didn't matter anymore. What mattered was the fact that he was standing in front of Ingrid Ziegler again. She looked absolutely stunning and he couldn't help but grin at the sheer sight of her. He had found her, he had finally found his girl.

She was standing there in a stunning dark green dress that flowed around her beautiful legs, the dress perfectly matching the colour of her enchanting eyes. Her blonde hair fell in gorgeous waves over her shoulders and the freckles covering her nose and cheeks looked more prominent in the Barcelona street light then they had that night a month or so ago. She looked a bit nervous standing there being so firmly examined by his burning eyes, and probably embarrassed about slapping him in the face just moments earlier. He could see that she was blushing under his gaze, and she had started fidgeting with her handbag during the time he had spent observing her.

"Once again, I'm so sorry for hitting you. I-...I didn't mean to do that.", she nervously expressed.

"No, no, don't feel bad about it. You didn't know it was me. If I were you I would've also slapped myself....Wait that sounded a bit-...I didn't really word that right did I? Anyways it doesn't matter. Uhm...hello!", Seb shakily let out. He was also feeling quite nervous, he had his plan about their date in store, but would it work? He sure hoped it would. There was nothing he wanted more in the world right now than to go on a date with her.
