Zack was speechless, and his brain was failing to process the new information that was thrown at him.
Off all the people, Daniel betrayed him, them. Why?
Why did Daniel leave and join Workers?
He could've joined anybody, but why the enemy? Why those pesky spoiled rich bastards? (Well, reffering to all but the cap guy.)

He couldn't figure it out quite yet. He can't wrap his head around it.
No matter how hard he tried.

He thought that he and Daniel were a team, maybe even comrads.
He believed that they would go through thick and thin together.
He genuinly believed it!

But, as usual, he thought wrong.
Nothing new by now, since figuring people out was quite hard for him, given that he thought that Daniel wanted to steal Mira away from him at the start....which wasn't the case, of course!

He should have long seen through Daniel's bullshit, and he should've trusted his own gut, or the voice in his head telling him something was off...

But he didn't. And all because he wanted to trust Daniel.

What a fucking mistake.

Daniel never shared the same mindset as Zack did.
He was probably just lying all this time.

He probably never even began to imagine that the others, or Zack, would go through this shit together with him.

Zack thought they were friends, buddies even, but to hell with this shit!
Daniel probably didn't think they were, to be honest.

He shook his head. No...no. He needs to calm down. He knows Daniel to a certain extent (he likes to think). So he couldn't believe all of this.

And frankly, he wanted to hate Daniel. But oddly enough he couldn't bring himself to.
He can't despise him because deep down he knows that Daniel had his reasons.
Whatever they were.

But the worst part of Zack wanted to loath, resent and hate him for betraying them. For leaving him and his friends.
For "deceiving" them all.
Why did Daniel remain silent? They were friends at the end of the day, were they not?

Perhaps this was just Zack's irrational thinking. He was more than aware that Daniel was a formidable and strong opponent. He was one of the strongest people he knew and was friends with, but seeing him being beaten down by one of that four-eyed freaks lackeys just
didn't sit right with him.

He didn't seem like the Danny he knew in that moment....
Maybe, just maybe he didn't know him as well as he thought or liked to admit...

Maybe there was actually more to Daniel than he let on.

......

Was Zack the problem that started this all?

Should he have just been more honest towards Daniel?
Maybe he should've accepted the feelings that bubbled and bloomed in his stomach everytime he saw Daniel and his smile, his eyes crinkling just perfectly.

He should've been there for Danny more.

Then maybe all of this wouldn't have happened.

But, knowing Daniel, it's possible that this would have happened regardless.
Since he is a complete airhead beyond saving....

Zack wracked his brain for answers until it hurt from all the thinking.
He currently wished that he used his head more and slept less in class (not really)...
Maybe then he could work more efficiently.

He couldn't deny that the feelings he felt towards Daniel were similar to those he had towards Mira.

But Daniel's a guy and Mira's a girl.

Well, that didn't really have to mean anything, right?
He thought he liked Yohan once, so this isn't all that weird.

But what is weird is that Zack was just accepting all of this as if it was nothing.
He honestly couldn't recognize himself.

He became more cool-headed and nicer since Daniel came into his life.
Didn't he technically save Zack just with his determination and goodwill alone?

He gave it another quick thought and an idea popped up in his overworked and tired head.

Maybe he should return the favor!
He could save Danny as a thank you, and best of all, he finally has a valid reason for mingling in Danny's business!

Oh god, why was he such a genius??

Well, he'll keep his feelings under wraps for now, and he'll never tell Daniel that he has feelings for him. For someone who's an idiot, somebody who appears to have little to no flaws.

He will take all of that cheesy shit to his grave.

Ah, his cheeks were burning brightly just at the thought of confessing to him....

No, no! He had to focus! He needed to get stronger to help Daniel, since the people from "Workers" or some shit were pretty strong, as far as he saw...

And he was still striving to become stronger in order to defeat Daniel!

Well, maybe he can strive to be stronger in order to help, better yet rescue him!

Zack obviously needs to knock some sense into that gorgeous idiot named Daniel Park!

And, he needs to get him back for the sake of himself and his friends'.
For Daniel's sake.

He finally had a goal in mind, and because Zack's stubborn he won't back down.

Because he's got someone dear to save.

His goal this time isn't for revenge as usual, but rather to become stronger than humanly possible.

He needs, no, wants to go beyond his limits!

This time he'll get stronger for Daniel.
And for himself.
