Sorry guys but this will be the last chapter because I am not interested in team crafted or sub anymore so this book will be discontinued. I hope you respect my decision and understand that trying to write this book is not fun anymore. Thanks for the support!
Cocoa's POV:
"What's your middle name?" he asked confused.
"Kittycat, not even joking," I said laughing even more.
He started laughing as well.
"Your parents must have really hated you," he said.
I stopped laughing. It took him a moment to realise what he had said. As soon as he realised his hand flew over his mouth.
"I'm so sor-"
I can't believe he would say something like that! I know he didn't mean to but it still seems like he was making fun of me. Why did some people have to be so cute, but still say things that make them jerks?
"Why would you say something like that?" I yelled.
"I really didn't mean it like th-"
"I'm sure you didn't," I said with as much sarcasm as I could muster.
"You didn't even tell me about your parents, so how could I have known," he yelled back.
He had a point there. But I was still upset. I got up and started walking towards the ladder.
"Where are you going," concern filled his voice once more.
"I'm just going for a walk to cool down," I replied.
He looked like he was going to argue, but instead he just slumped in his seat.
"Be safe, don't go too far, that girl might still be out there," he said.
Sub really wanted me to be safe, I wonder why he cared so much? Oh well, it's probably nothing.
I started walking in the direction of the waterfall.
Sub's POV:
"Why would you say something like that?" She yelled.
"I really didn't mean it like th-"
"I'm sure you didn't," She said with as much sarcasm as she could muster.
"You didn't even tell me about your parents, so how could I have known," I yelled back.
Cocoa got up and started walking towards the ladder.
"Where are you going," concern filled my voice.
"I'm just going for a walk to cool down," She replied.
I was going to argue, but instead I just slumped in my seat.
"Be safe, don't go too far, that girl might still be out there," I said.
She flashed a forced smile and climbed down the ladder. Great, I annoyed her and made her upset. Can't I do anything right?
I sighed. I guess I should clean up some more. I picked up the picture frame and put it back on the shelf. I cleaned up the spare room next, hoping that Cocoa would agree to stay while she recovered. That only took about 5 minutes. Next was the kitchen. It was a mess. Flour all over the benches, water on the floor and other food things everywhere possible. Haven't cleaned this room for at least a month, my bad. I had just finished cleaning the whole kitchen. I looked at the clock. It was 3:00pm, it's been at least an hour since Cocoa left. I started to get worried. I decided to go out and find her. I grabbed my backpack, the first-aid kit, my bow and my stone sword. Sure it wasn't anywhere near the strongest ore, but it got the job done.
I climbed down the ladder and headed north. A short while later, I started to call out her name. After, another half an hour I turned back and headed south this time. It was another 10 minutes when I started to call her name.
I heard a groan. Oh God. I hope she was okay. I headed towards the area where I heard the groan. I looked around not seeing any out of the ordinary. But, I still couldn't shake the uneasy feeling off. I looked around once more. I saw a drop of blood fall to the ground. I was scared to look up, but I did anyway. I was horrified at what I saw. I even gagged a little.
Cocoa was dangling from the tree above from a rope tied around her waist. Blood splattered all over her body, cuts and bruises everywhere. She moaned again, but didn't have her eyes open. She hadn't noticed me yet.
It was like she read my mind. Her eyes fluttered open. She had a desperate look on her face. I didn't know how to get her down. She mumbled out barely audible:
"Cut the rope."
I sharpened a stick and gave it to her. She started to saw at the rope, it was taking ages.
"Drop the stick," I said.
She obeyed. I caught the stick, put it in my bow, told Cocoa to put her hands below her and aimed the arrow. I shot it. It cut straight through the top of the rope, threw my bow to the ground and prepared to catch Cocoa. She fell for what seemed an eternity, but was only a matter of seconds. I caught her. I gently placed her on the ground and wrapped a bandage around the largest wound. I placed my bow and my sword on my back and picked up Cocoa bridal style and ran to the house as I whispered sorry over and over again.
Cocoa's POV:
I started walking south, the direction of the waterfall. I heard footsteps, I grabbed my hoodie and pulled it over my head. I let my head hang low and wait for the footsteps pass, except they didn't, they started getting louder. I picked up my pace. I knew they were coming for me, and by they, I mean the popular group. They were always out to get me, even before I was classified as a freak.
I knew they would eventually catch up. I broke into a run and weaved in-between the trees. I knew it was too late for me to do anything. I was going to get caught. I stopped awaiting my fate.
"Look it gave up," Jessica sneered.
"Yeah, it knew it was hopeless and finally decided it wanted to die," Kaitlin said.
"You deserve to die," said Amy.
That hurt. But it was true. I hope Sub will get over me. What am I talking about? He's only looking after me out of pity.
They all grabbed me and Amy, the leader of the group, started cutting me with an iron sword. The other girls started to punch me everywhere they possibly could. After a painful 20 minutes they dragged me across the ground. They tied a rope around my waist and hoisted me up. I hoped that Sub wouldn't see me like this, I probably didn't look in good condition.
After a good 3 hours of dangling, I heard Sub. I tried to be quiet, but a moan escaped my lips. Before long I saw Sub walking around below me. He started to walk back but he stopped, he had seen a drop of my blood fall to the ground. I closed my eyes hoping he'd think I was dead, but I still felt his eyes on me. I opened my eyes and said:
"Cut the rope."
I couldn't take this any longer, I wanted to be down there safe in his arms. What? Why was I thinking that? I couldn't possibly like him, could I? No.
I saw him sharpening a stick and he told me to catch it. I caught the stick and started to saw at the rope. This wasn't working. I turned back around and he said to throw the stick down.
I threw it down and he caught it.
"Put your hands down," he said.
I obeyed immediately. He grabbed his bow and shot the stick up and hit the rope dead on. I fell. For a moment there was a sense of weightlessness. But he caught me. He gently placed me on the ground and wrapped up the huge gnash on my stomach. He put away his stuff and picked me up bridal style. He started to run in the direction of the treehouse. As he was running, I heard him whisper 'sorry' over and over again. After the third time of saying sorry, I blacked out.
