"Good morning." Normani's manager greeted and Dinah waved as Normani walked into the booth with her lyrics ready.
They didn't talk much, Normani sung and Dinah edited her songs. After finishing, a bit early than expected, Normani had to wait for her manager to come get her since he went to a meeting. Normani sat waiting on the couch and scrolled through her phone. Dinah phone began ringing to fill the silence and Dinah answered it with a small smirk on her lips.
"Hey Simone." Dinah answered the FaceTime as she stretched her arms.
"Dinah." Simone called.
"What's up?" Dinah asked as she rearranged the beat to one of the songs.
"Are you still with that girl?" Simone questioned in an annoyed tone.
"And what if I am?" Dinah smirked.
"Ugh, I need some attention right now." Simone groaned.
"Damn, can't help you right now I'm working." Dinah laughed.
"You're choosing to work over getting some pussy, wow what happened to you Dinah Jane." Simone rolled her eyes.
"Just wait until I'm done." Dinah suggested.
"I'll just call someone else." Simone joked.
"That's not fair." Dinah bit her lip.
"Oh well." Simone smirked.
"Fine I'll be there in 10." Dinah licked her lips.
"Make it 5." Simone raised her eyebrows.
"Don't push it." Dinah rolled her eyes.
"Fine, bye Jane." Simone waved.
"See ya." Dinah looked back up at her laptop and saved her progress before closing the device.
Simone hung up the phone and Dinah began packing up her stuff. She looked over at Normani to see her laying on the couch typing away not paying Dinah a single mind. When Dinah left, Normani got up and began recording. She looked at her notes and just started singing. She didn't know what she was singing or why but she was just passing time by. When she finished, she stopped the recording and rested her head on her arm. Now she has a headache. 15-20 minutes had past and her manager had entered the studio and tapped Normani on her shoulder since she was sleep.
"Huh?" Normani popped up rubbing her eyes and her manager shook his head with a small smile.
He saw a song on her phone and gave it a listen while Normani tried to fully awaken herself.
"Ooh I like this." He started bopping his head to the song.
"What?" Normani yawned.
"Put it on your album." He ushered and Normani grabbed her phone looking at what he was talking about.
"No." Normani muttered as she got up with a stretch.
"Oh come on, this is the real real." He noted.
"I don't care, I recorded that because I was bored." Normani grabbed her stuff.
"Who were you singing about?" He wondered.
"None of your business." Normani blushed.
"Mhm." He sucked his teeth.
"Shut up and take me home." Normani grumbled and he put up his hands in defense as he walked to their ride.
As soon as they got in, Normani got comfortable and ended up falling asleep in the backseat.
"Can you grab her?" He asked and the driver nodded.
They both got out of the car and he unlocked Normani's house as the driver carries her to her bedroom, they then leave as if nothing happened. 30 minutes go by and Normani wakes up after hearing her phone ring so she answers it.
"Hello." She practically growled.
"Euuuhhhh, what is going awn with yo voice girl." A voice roared and Normani popped up.
"SZA how you get my number?" Normani questioned.
"Solána, and I asked a friend for it." Solána winked.
"Kehlani?" Normani laid back down and Solána laughed.
"Yes, so what you doing?" Solána wondered.
"I was sleeping." Normani sighed as she rubbed her face.
"Is that why yo voice sound like that?" Solána asked.
"Hush, where are you? It's loud." Normani turned down her phone.
"I'm at this event with Ryan Destiny and we about to ditch this place because it's boring." Solána explained.
"Y'all wanna come over?" Normani wondered.
"Ryan you wanna go to my friend's house." Solána asked Ryan.
"If it gets me out of here then yes." Ryan responded.
"It's a yes." Solána tell Normani.
"Okay, see you two in a bit." Normani waved before hanging up and she got up to get into the shower before Solána and Ryan arrived.
When they did arrive, Normani picked up a jacket that she found on her when her manager woke her up from her nap (that was a lot of hers) and answered the door with nothing but that on.
"Normani!" Solána hugged the girl and lifted her into the air a little.
"Solána!" Normani matched her energy.
"Your house is gorgeous." Ryan looked around.
"Thank you, Ryan?" Normani tried to pronounce correctly.
"Yes it's Ryan." Ryan smiled.
"Alright, y'all wanna drink some wine and eat some snacks and watch some movies?" Normani pointed to the living to see everything set up.
"Yes ma'am." Solána rushed over to the living room as she took off her heels on the way.
Ryan did the same as Normani closed and locked the door. They plopped down onto the couch and Normani grabbed the remote. After a few minutes of scrolling to find a movie, Normani stopped on her favorite Disney movie.
"Princess and the frog?" Normani suggested and there were a few seconds of silence before Solána and Ryan answered.
"Yes." They say at the same time causing Normani to giggle.
While the movie is playing, Solána ended up falling asleep and Ryan was playing with Solána hair.
"Lightweight." Normani pointed out and Ryan saw Solána wine glass empty causing her to giggle.
"Oh I meant to ask you, who's this Dinah person?" Ryan questioned since Solána kept bringing it up on their ride to Normani's house.
"A nuisance." Normani muttered.
"Oh?" Ryan raised her eyebrows.
"She's helping me with my next album and she's a player which is upsetting." Normani shrugged.
"Do you like her?" Ryan wondered.
"No..." Normani trailed off as she popped a piece of popcorn in her mouth.
"Hmm." Ryan hummed and Normani looked at her.
"Do you like Solána?" Normani asked.
"Well, I don't know. I'm talking with this dude but Solána and I lowkey be flirting so again I don't know." Ryan explained.
"I didn't know Solána liked girls." Normani giggled.
"She keeps her sexuality lowkey." Ryan noted.
"Feels like every celebrity does." Normani popped another popcorn into her mouth.
"True." Ryan agreed.
