Ayana's Pov
"Ivar for as long as I've known you, you've been nothing but an idiot why would we go back to Kattegat? There's nothing there for us. We spoke that we never would go back." His icy blues bore right back onto me learning firmly over the wooden table leaving me near the stove.

We were trying to be as hush as we could with Bjorn fast asleep in the living room, the children sleeping as well.

"I'm just speaking the truth Ayana. We haven't been back there in years. Maybe things have changed? Wouldn't it be nice for you and the children to visit while I go and explore the slick road? You know that we can't all travel the road I can't protect you all." He stated out firmly, keeping his eyes locked on me. A harsh press of my palm on my face had me sinking my shoulders back.

"Kattegat is full of bad luck Ivar everytime I step foot on the land something bad happens whether it was being accused of sleeping my way to queen. A thrall wanting you, or much better being replaced by a thrall." The glare he sent me would have sent many running but not me, I sent him one back.

"I don't like when you bring that up Ayana.. I'm just thinking of the possibilities alright? I miss when I was a feared Viking.. When everyone would hear my name and just scream the sight of blood is deeply missed." My hand dropped from my face folding my arms over my chest in place for a moment, seeing the dazed expression taking over Ivar's face any one could see he missed those days.

Sometimes you could see him tracing his tattoos with an expression on longing.

I just didn't think it was wise since these visions/dreams were growing rapid of my death. Perhaps it was unavoidable.

"My love listen to my words. Nothing pleases me more than all the time I've shared with you at my side. Our children are growing older so are we." I flicked my gaze for just a moment, to look away before sinking my shoulders back.

"Is traveling really what you miss Ivar?" A single glance was spared my way. After all these time I should trust Ivar, it should have been easy. I dropped my head down for a moment sighing before giving him a head nod.

"Fine, who am to hold back your desires Ivar. You may travel as you wish but here's my only admiration." He lifted his head up to stare at me in confusion, pushing himself off the table.

"Alright. " He sat down with a firm motion.

"I would like you to take Rúne with you. let her experience more of the world. Kattegat brings out the worse in her. She is your daughter and very much takes after you. I'll bring the boys back to Kattegat and prepare them more to be ready. They are growing older." The size grow of Ivar's eyes didn't go unmatched yet it didn't seem he had any complaints what so ever.

"You want the two most temperamental to travel the world? What if I bring out the worse in her Ayana?" I shot him a look standing up, I moved so I was leaning over the table our eyes and face were met face to face with one another.

"She has your eyes Ivar. Which means she has your skills in tacit knowledge and in fighting. Spend some time traveling with your daughter. In the words of Hvitserk. A female Ivar." A harsh sounding laugh had left Ivar, sudden his hand reaching up to grab at my chin and lowering me down closer pressing a deep kiss to the flesh of my lips.

"You always have the wisest words to speak. Alright if it is what you wish then whatever my queen wants." He muttered on my lips, slightly pulling his head back to gaze at me stroking his thumb under my chin.

"If Bjorn tries anything. I'll feed him to the wolves he won't ever have a baby again." A soft snort left me cupping at the side of his face with ease.

"Ivar cheating is part of your Viking culture no? You even said you've all done it can't keep it your pants." He narrowed his eyes at me firmly grabbing at my hand tightly.

"Ayana if you ever." I cut him off firmly grabbing his hand back.

"I would never cheat on my husband Ivar, I thought you would have known this by. I have more class than to lay with another. What would you do kill me?" I lifted an eyebrow his way in a taunting way which he did right back.

"I'd kill you both." I held back a small snicker sinking my shoulders back letting his face go.

"You really have changed Ayana.. More fierce than ever. Be safe I mean it." I gazed at Ivar even more before I nodded gazing at him fully.

"I think sometimes time does change that. I should most likely be saying you be safe Ivar. Trouble always follows you." He rolled his eyes playfully at me a couple times. Before pulling me to sit in his lap firmly keeping me close to him, his head resting in place. Not another word was said his head keeping in firm place, needing a soft silence take over the entire place.
